Skoby
This seems like an amazing weapon but just to clarify, does the Fist of Dorn inflict a crew shaken result as well as having +1 to rolls on the damage table and str 10? Being master crafted as well just seems to be total overkill. 2 other mini questions: He has I5 in his statline, since he will always strike with I1, is there any point in this stat? Will the fact that without a thunderhammer he has I5 ever have any ingame effect? or is it just to keep it similar to a captains stats? Also, if he joins a squad in dedicated transport, can that transport make any use of his bolter drill rule at all? even if he is in it? This is mostly just hypothetical as the only oppertunity is a landraider with a storm bolter, but I am just curious how they define a "squad he has joined" Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151567-lysander/ Share on other sites

Will the fact that without a thunderhammer he has I5 ever have any ingame effect? or is it just to keep it similar to a captains stats? If he runs away he won't get caught as easily. Skoby
Thanks, I totally forgot about the initiative test for running away. The last one I knew was dodgy, but the way I see it the way area effect rules count "from the vehicles hull" is stranger, I'd say someone inside a vehicle is more likely to inspire better shooting in their guns than someone inside a tank inspiring units outside of the tank. Tybrus
He could also attack with his fists or power turned off to hammer) at I5 but it would be a normal attack not power weapon attack... I don't believe turning your weapons off is an option in 5th ed. nurglez
aye, if a model has 1 close combat special weapon they have to use it, no more switching off powerfists. Monkeychunks
He can't turn it off, but he can always twat them about with the Bolt Pistol if he has one. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151567-lysander/#findComment-1764709 Share on other sites
Bran Scalphunter
Nope, since Lysander has a thunder hammer, he has to make all attacks with it, no pistol-whipping with special weapons anymore.
