Support By Fire
Rhino is done, only thing i dont like is the transfers, should have got some doors from Forge World, next rhino I will. I do still need to get a micro pen to add name to the scroll, but that can wait. Now to finish the rest of the tac squad. Oh, and i know it looks like UM blue, but it is the flash on camera throwing it off, it looks a lot darker in person, C&C welcome, Support By Fire. http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e253/Biggun25/DSC00534.jpg http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e253/Biggun25/DSC00535.jpg http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e253/Biggun25/DSC00537.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/151814-progress-on-my-crimson-fists/ Share on other sites
Dam13n
Looks good... only thing I notice is the front windows... if the visor is fixed up (or movable) I would suggest painting them up... adds a more finished feel if they're done... other than that a solid rhino... FW doors are OK but expensive... transfers look fine. Laterz... Support By Fire
Any thoughts on how to paint the windows. i am torn on this. Should i paint them like the view ports or just highlight them like a window with a couple of lines showing reflection or something? Thanks for your comments and suggestions, Support By Fire. JetfireUK
The Rhino looks very good. I would suggest a simple highlight like you've used elsewhere on the view ports. My only other suggestion would be to drybrush a little brown to represent mud on the tracks themselves as they would tend to stay dirty - they look very clean at the moment. Otherwise well done. Support By Fire
Thanks, point taken on the tracks and i did miss a couple of spots, mostly only hit the sides with the dry brush, but I will go back and hit the front tracks up some more. Still undecided on the windows, guess i will have to try it out and see what happens, thanks once again. Support By Fire. Brother SRM
Love the red on your dreadnought's fist! Very deep while still looking vibrant. I would suggest maybe painting the barrels of the lascannons red, to tie in with the "fist" look, as the barrels may as well be the tips of his fingers... I might not make any sense, forgive me I am tired. When can we expect the rest of the tac squad? The weathering on the rhino is pretty slick, and the marines look good too. Nice basing on em! PS: Thanks for commenting in my Fist thread! Support By Fire
I second the tired part, i am a late nighter too. Thanks for the comments, i think i am gonna leave the dred as finished (dont want to try and make him better and mess up a good thing), i am hopping to have the tac squad done in a week or two, i have 3 more undercoated and ready for paint and the other 5 have been sprayed but need finished up being primed. So i think that i will finish the 3 tacs this weekend and then have a good solid week to week and a half for the next 5. I just need to stay focused on them, but my termies are distracting me(they are dying to be assembled, LOL). Your comments are very appreciated and i look forward to your progress as well.
