Fureal
I am currently (along with a few other projects!) converting an Ultramarines Tyranid Hunter model into a Dark Angels veteran. At this stage I have removed the blasted Ultramarine horsehoes and am in the process of painting. The Ultramarine symbol on the chest plate will be converted into a 3d DA winged sword using green stuff, and I intend to battle damage the kneepad. Rossco
Looking good so far, like the idea of changing the horse shoe into the DA winged sword, I'll keep an eye on this one ! Maligoare
Not bad so far, but I would have recommended doing the GS before painting it - I had reason to try GSing a painted model of mine recently, and it wasn't good. The paint tends to stop any GS you want to take off actually coming away from the model, so you may be left with a rather uneven or even spiky surface. Fureal
Newest update. Cleaned up purity seals and armour, added a banner. Next step is final colouring and then basing, then should be ready to go into one of my squads as a DA veteran sergeant! IamJacksUserName
That is quite a clever conversion of the Ultramarine symbol. I probably would have ruined the model trying to file it off.
