turelhim vampire
Howdy all, I am just looking for everyone's opinions on a painting dilema. I am currently painting my Vulkan He'stan conversion and I am doing his armour in the standard green/black Salamanders colours with golden "fancy bits", and I am wondering what colours to paint Kesare's mantle in? I am thinking of the colours of a Fire Salamander, as in the style of the Badab War Veterans, but I am not 100% sure, as the colours on the vets seems to be an inverted colour scheme based on the fire salamander, rather than true to the source. Or should I paint it in some different colours entirely? I am afraid green will make it blend in with his armour too much, so that's out. So... Yellow and Black (Badab Vets), Black and Yellow (Fire Salamander), or something else entirely? What does everyone think? Wolf89
yellow and black is my vote, will make it "pop" more. Can't wait to see your painting of him, should be good... I have high expectations for you don't disappoint me! ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152013-painting-vulkan-hestan/#findComment-1769586 Share on other sites

Alys Dwr
Use a very dark purple to highlight black scales with yellow recesses. Al Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152013-painting-vulkan-hestan/#findComment-1775985 Share on other sites
