power Klaw nd furious charge

I was playing against my mate's Ork army and he keeps charging my Land Raider with his Nobz, claiming that the furious charge adds +1 to his strength and then doubles it with the power Klaw, effectively giving him a Strength 10 hit

Is that the rule or does he have to multiply his original strength then add +1 for the furious charge?

On pg 7 of the mini rule book it states under Multiple modifiers:

"If a model has a combination of rules or wargear that both add to and multiply one of its characteristics, first multiply the basic value and then add the extra points.

For example, if a model with strength 4 has both '+1 strength' and 'double strength', its final strength will be 9 (4x2=8, 8+1=9)"

So it uses the example you were enquiring about!!

Not nessisarily cheating.

He could just be confused. There was a time where you could add then double so it could just be confusing.

Not playing by the rules is cheating. Whether he meant to cheat or not is something else.

And I would not blame confusion I would blame poor rules reading (or no rules reading). :RTBBB:

;)

Granted in this case there is no excuse as my brother correctly pointed out, that very example is stated in the BBB, however confusing a rule (honestly confusing a rule, not pretending to) I would not class as cheating, simply making a mistake.

After all, can you all honestly say you have never in your life made a mistake? I know myself, and EVERY other person I have played against have made mistakes before, its not cheating if you honestly forget about something, of course if you remember and keep doing it then it IS cheating. The problem lies in telling the difference between the two.
