#13
I know some people were expecting some more yellow loyalists from me. (I was one of them  ) But with the amount of time available to me and my slow painting it just seemed like I was smearing yellow on the minis and not getting anywhere. Yellow looks great, but it is a terrible, TERRIBLE color for batch painting. So after two and a half weeks and just four minis in basecoats with a bit of shading, I was more then a little fed up. Painting is something I like, but not too much. It's converting that I really love. And it's chaos that tickles my fancy the most. So here's a couple of traitor marines with a simple paintscheme that I can complete within a week and a half. So I can still dream of ever finishing an army. But I won't call this a blog, I'll go one mini at a time. John Woo marine and Beastial boy. http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n119/Sexyspaintshed/40K/csm002-1.jpg http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n119/Sexyspaintshed/40K/csm004-1.jpg WIP Khornate icon bearer. http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n119/Sexyspaintshed/40K/csm005-1.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152210-just-a-couple-of-burgundy-traitor-marines/ Share on other sites

#13
Update: I've gone on a bit of a conversion spree. Made a techmarine special weapon guy with melta gun and the beginnings of a chaos terminator. Trying to do a bit with the bases, but not too much. I want to concentrate on the minis. http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n119/Sexyspaintshed/40K/csm008.jpg Here's a different look on the two marines. http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n119/Sexyspaintshed/40K/csm007.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152210-just-a-couple-of-burgundy-traitor-marines/#findComment-1776856 Share on other sites

chaplainmikey
Those are wicked cool, the colour of the PA is brilliant. Honestly, they would make great Wordbearers. The Techmarine conversions is brilliant, the choice of head was pretty much spot-on if you ask me! Great work, hope we will see more! Graypaint
Is the John Woo marine head from the chosen sprue or what? I really like it ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152210-just-a-couple-of-burgundy-traitor-marines/#findComment-1776999 Share on other sites
RazakelXIII
 Brain-shatteringly fantastic painting. Just amazing. ;) So, are they Word Bearers? #13
nice minis but i can't get the link with burgundy Linky :) Seriously I don't quite get the question. @Graypaint, the John Woo head is the Slaanesh aspiring champ head from the CSM box. @RazakelXIII, they're not Word Bearers (To be honest word bearers are one of my least favorite legions), but the color scheme is inspired by the word bearers. I love that artwork of a word bearer marine that was on the cover of WD a couple of years ago. At this moment I don't have any background in my mind. I'm leaning towards a dark mechanic themed army. Guys, ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152210-just-a-couple-of-burgundy-traitor-marines/#findComment-1777582 Share on other sites
