Fire Harte
Hi B&C Don't really post here much, but never the less I am asking if anybody has any Fluff etc upon something. The thing I ask this time is the 'Apostles of Minthras'. Now I know they are included in the Big Red Rulebook on page 148, but I really want to find anymore Fluff upon them. I plan to participate in a To4G type program, and I am required to include some background into my force (anybody who wants any information on this shoot me a PM), but I would like to keep my background as good as possible. Now I know what I plan will directly conflict with the Antecanis Massacre on Page 148, but I have made a reasonable explanation in my head and it seems ok to a few others. But yes, any background? (I googled and I found my armylist from a few months ago, which was a bit shameful.) All help is really apreciated. Fire Harte EDIT- Oh and I forgot to mention, I know they have been around since to the 33rd milenium, as stated in the chaos codex. That and the Antecanis Massacre reference are all I have, so even if I am unsuccessful in my search I can do my own background. RazakelXIII
Well, they seem to be a Word Bearers offshoot (rare, as those tend to get hunted down very quickly - odd considering the Word Bearers were at Antecanis as well. Ulterior motive?). Other than that and aside from the Antecanis Massacre there doesn't appear to be much on them. :\ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152289-apostles-of-minthras/#findComment-1774795 Share on other sites
Brother Nihm
Apostles of Minthras First sighting: Eye of Terror, M33. That's all there is, they are one of the 'new' Renegade chapters that GW cooked up for the latest Codex, so you're completely free to create the rest of the background for them. Yogi
maybe check out minthras on wikipedia, might give you some ideas. He was some roman god. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152289-apostles-of-minthras/#findComment-1775387 Share on other sites
Commissar Molotov
maybe check out minthras on wikipedia, might give you some ideas. He was some roman god. That's Mithras, but there's definitely some food for thought there - though the 'initiation rites' and the like are somewhat similar to the lodges used within many of the Pre-Heresy Legions, you might be able to do something with them. I did think there was something on the Games-Workshop site regarding the Apostles of Minthras, but their latest re-design means nothing survives to tell the tale. :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152289-apostles-of-minthras/#findComment-1775395 Share on other sites
Fire Harte
Thanks guys! Forgot to log on... But yes, fluff ideas will expand now considering there are no real events about the Apostles. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152289-apostles-of-minthras/#findComment-1781835 Share on other sites
