Steelmage99
Hey. The colourscheme on my marines is pretty set but I haven't decided on how to paint my bikes. Are they too dark? Too bland? http://www.pbase.com/crusader40k/image/106144455.jpg http://www.pbase.com/crusader40k/image/106144456.jpg Any C&C is most welcome. aekold
Looking good, really like the metal. I would try to highlight to edges of the bike a bit. I think some lines of adeptus battlegrey with chaos black(maybe even without) would do the trick. Edit: This is what I mean. http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...p;#entry1777824 The highlights on the predator. Race Bannon
Do YOU think they are too dark or bland? If so, then change it. Personally, I like them as they are. Let the lighting of the room make the shadows on the mini. Save time by keeping your scheme as it is. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152676-need-feedback-on-bikes/#findComment-1778630 Share on other sites
BrotherAtrox
I think they look great as is! The white helmet is a great contrast. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152676-need-feedback-on-bikes/#findComment-1778652 Share on other sites
rat of vengence
Yeah, the white helmet lifts them nicely, and I notice the scheme matches the shoulder armour colours. They look good to me. A bit of edge highlighting on corners and such should do it. Not too much though... JetfireUK
Keep the scheme as it is. If you added some very fine edging highlights in Fortress Grey on the plates of the bike and again on the Space Marine armour it would allow the vehicle and rider to stand out a bit more. Apart from that you shouldn't change anything. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152676-need-feedback-on-bikes/#findComment-1778736 Share on other sites

Baal Dropout
I like them as is, but then again we (as in the painter himself) is the best (and worst? :jaw: ) critic of our minis: if you feel something lacking then go for it :jaw: One thing I'd like comment though: shiny (?) decals showing in the second pic... I dunno... has the bikes been sprayed with varnish already? Or maybe the decals hasnt properly set on the paint? (paint some clear gloss first over the area where the decals will be applied to help) My 2 cents and good work on the bikes ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152676-need-feedback-on-bikes/#findComment-1778789 Share on other sites
