Vassakov
Ok, I am doing a Khorne/Tzeentch army, but I am quite taken by the rules for Fiends of Slannesh. I do however hate the models, Fluffiness of the unit notwithstanding. My question to you gentlemen is would a conversion based on this (Taken from the Warhammer Online PC game) do as a Khornate Fiend of Slannesh. http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii189/vassakov/Khorne_Spawn.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152705-khornate-fiends-of-slannesh/ Share on other sites
Captain Malachi
Do it, and if you can pull that off I want to see it :) I agree though, the models are ugly, I started a thread the other day on it, so if you're not set on this conversion you may want to look here, There's no pics, but a few good ideas. Dammeron
If the miniatures you produce look anything like that I desperately want to see them  . Seahawk
Looks like a great idea. Makes you wonder how it moves though, since it only has three legs. Maybe like the poor little 3 legged doggy? With a huge spike/talon as its fourth leg? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152705-khornate-fiends-of-slannesh/#findComment-1779558 Share on other sites

Night Stalker
why not, each god have many daemons under it's command. As long it's killy i see no reason not to use counts as Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152705-khornate-fiends-of-slannesh/#findComment-1780448 Share on other sites
Seahawk
Observe the photo a bit longer and you will see the forth leg in the mist... Mmmm, nope, still only 3 legs + 1 slasher. I'm not sure how you're seeing this 4th, considering the one in the mist is the right rear leg and the slasher takes the place of the right front leg, while we have two legs in the foreground, all of which I saw the first time and hence my silly comments. Besides it's chaos, and therefore it needs to make no sense. Although, for an agile and fleety creature, three legs just wouldn't cut it methinks. Mal
There is what looks like an echo of a leg by its tail, but I can only clearly see 3 legs and 1 claw. As to the idea itself, you will bo going against the old god rules, so providing you don't care too much about fluff, then there is nothing stoping you from doing this. Now you mention it I see you're right, but I see no reason why it couldn't bound along using that slasher as a front leg, after all, it only needs to maintain balance on it for what? Half a second? Mal
Or it mayjust be a mutated field with a loping gait..... You know like those things you usually see in a deamon army.... ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152705-khornate-fiends-of-slannesh/#findComment-1780664 Share on other sites

The God rules no longer exist. As to the whole theme thing, that's why I'm trying to make a unit that is like a fiend, but crucially isn't. Hence, it won't spoil my fluff theme. Wait, I'm using Khorne and Tzeentch. What fluff? ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152705-khornate-fiends-of-slannesh/#findComment-1780680 Share on other sites

Vassakov
For now it is firmly in the "concept" stage, but I reckon these Rackham models as a base are my best bet: http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii189/vassakov/Tiger1.jpg http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii189/vassakov/Tiger2.jpg http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii189/vassakov/Tiger3.jpg Lots of GS and kitbashing, but on the plus side only 10 Euros, which is a lot cheaper than a Fiend. Seahawk
Ahh, so true. That mini definitely has four real legs anyways. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152705-khornate-fiends-of-slannesh/#findComment-1780928 Share on other sites
Captain Malachi
The first two look good for a base, but I'm not sure on the last one, looks too much like a mutated pig rather than a daemon.
