BulldogUK
Glad you like them chaps :D detailed pics of all the big fellas can be seen on the website at Titan Battlegroup Btw, just installed sound on Odin, I will sort a movie fly around over the next few days and stick a link on the website! M8 of mine been fiddling with photoshop, either that or he set the shop on fire! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/warlordbattlegroucopy.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152732-battlegroup-ragnarok-the-god-machines-walk/page/2/#findComment-1788201 Share on other sites
BulldogUK
It's sort of hard to appreciate the size and detail on Odin from a few still pics so I have russled up a little movie for you chaps! Apols for the low res and out of focus areas, filmed it using the basic film function on my camera. I have it on good authority that the big fat dude in the red suit may well be bringing me a nice hi-res camcorder, looks like movies a plenty for 09!!! The sounds comprise of just 8 mechwarrior mp3 files pulled from the web, they run on a random loop from an MP3 player that simply plugs into the powered active speakers installed deep within the bowels of the big fella! The speakers are vented out of the lower back as you can see from the rear views. beauty of this simple system is that I can go stick some better sounds on the player as and when I find some! Also play normal music if I wish, the coolest MP3 player ever?! ;D Slaughtering the chaos hordes to the best of Abba gold, doesnt get more surreal than that! Little quiet on the movie but it's annoyingly loud in the flesh, will see about sorting a better movie after xmas :) Anyhow, skip over to the webpage here Warlord Odin, link right at the top, either left click to play through media player or right click to DL, have fun! Vash113
You know what really makes those models shine is the detail put into each one. The marines leaping into action, the servitors crawling over the surface, the battle damage and scores in the painting, the purity seals (that look fantastic btw). It all really adds that personal touch to the models. I particularly like the Chaplain Titan, the detail is just incredible and the stained glass windows amazing. An incredible collection. By the way are those airsoft guns I spy behind Odin? And Aliens figures, those bring back some memories. Vladar
We need to invent new words to begin to describe how awesome this is! One question: Why are those purity seals so big? I'd think that Odin would just be covered in hundreds of tiny seals, these look like another titan put them on. (but that would have to be one big titan) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152732-battlegroup-ragnarok-the-god-machines-walk/page/2/#findComment-1801110 Share on other sites
Ganuus
It would appear from that shot that the gun on his left hand is actually a titan as well lol. I'd think that Odin would just be covered in hundreds of tiny seals, these look like another titan put them on. (but that would have to be one big titan) All down to scale and aesthetics, my personal opinion is lots of tiny seals dotted all around would probably just get lost in the entirety of the model and look pants (getting technical there). put it another way, imagine Bernard manning wearing either a)big baggy boxer shorts B) a bright green G-string and nipple tassles. The former (only in my own personal opinion of course) would look better, or should I say, less knightmare provoking, certainly 'pleasing to the eye' is a term I could use for either option ;) Little work to finish up on the Crimsons then hopefully I will get round to building some new weapons for Odin, maybe even another large project if inspiration comes my way! BulldogUK
Had a little spare time and nothing to paint now the GK's are done so I decided to run over the Reavers. Firstly the Armorcast, replaced those nasty tubes on the weapon arms with bundled wires and painted the head yellow to bring it in with the rest of the battlegroup, lastly added some spare cinematic effects I had lying around, nothing major, mostly minor cosmetics but niggly little things that I have been meaning to do for ages. Best thing is when I pulled the Reaver out to have a fiddle (oooer) there hiding behind it gathering dust was the spare powerfist. Hmmmmmm, I thought to myself......2 magnets later it was patched onto the FW reaver and I reckon it looks pretty damn cool considering it's not supposed to go there! OK, maybe not as defined as the new FW versions but hey, 60 notes remain in my pocket which is always a bonus! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/ArmorcastReaverApril2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/ArmorcastReaverApril7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/FWReaverCCW6.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152732-battlegroup-ragnarok-the-god-machines-walk/page/2/#findComment-1943724 Share on other sites
