Another little update on the Daemons

 

First up. That me got three of the four bloodcrusher needed for my unit & I got my second soul grinder, I've just built my soul grinder last night/during the painting of my second unit of Bloodletters

For the base, I'm now useing the free Dawn of War CD's that GW use to give out a few year back, just showing what DaW was all about & few trailer. Got ton's that are taken up space, so might as well use them & main thing is there free :)

While on the painting front I been busy painting my second unit of Bloodletters. After these photos the Bloodletter had been varnish, I still got a Icon bloodletter & three trooper being painted & should get them done as soon as

Also if lossing a Bloodletter was not bad enought, before the photo above. I was working on my Soul Grinder while waiting on some paint to dry on the Bloodletters. It seem during this time one of my Bloodletter feel onto the floor

He is now fix & is in the photo with the rest of his squad. It just annoying & it might seem my Daemon force is curse, as my friend that done the Daemon force above in my orignaly post has lost two Slannesh Daemon during a tournament.

 

So today aim is: Try get some work done on my Soul Grinder, basicly get the metal & that least some of his flesh out the way. Then finish painting the Soul Grinder on Fri.

 

In general:

Try & get the bloodcrusher built on the Fri, then spend Sat/Sun painting

Mon try to get the last four bloodletter finish for the second squad, while the third squad will be built & undercaoted.

Tue when I go to GW, paint my third & finial squad of Bloodletter. Pick up some Bloodcrusher

 

As for the Third soul grinder, the chaos gods will be sending me one. I aim to do a bit more conversion with the third & finial Soul Grinder, possible have a Ultramarine in the claw's being rip apart & just check out my bit's box for any old tanks I can rip up for the base.

I really like building & painting the soul grinder, though there not much conversion as I would like to. Just really like how the two finish soul grinder have turn out. Then once the part arrive I should be getting that soul grinder finish.

 

Really like doing the base. For the Third soul grinder I been adding a old/free land speeder I had in my bit box for some time. So though it look cool & fit my my Daemon theme of slaughtering Ultramarine force.

As some you may notice the tougne (sp) from squad one & two are diffrent being Black & a brightish green. I'm doing this more for squad marking reason & to make life easy. Squad three, unsure what I will paint for them until near the time.

 

So just got six bloodcrusher to buy, two bloodcrusher to build & half a soul grinder to finish once the parts arrive. With the Bloodcrusher I aim to use the top half of the plastic Bloodletters just for a bit of diffrence in models & just look cool instead of having same metal model after metal model.

The third Bloodletter unit I am aim to get them fully painted by Tue :D

Just a quick update.

 

First all I not forgotten about this project log :) Just been really busy with real life events that I not had much time to paint.

 

For the update, after a few games on Sat that my wargaming club I've change my list a little bit, though due to money I will not be able to get all the models I wish to have so will be useing things like Nurglings swarm as unit filler while I wait for the right time to get my finish Bloodcrusher

 

So after a few games on Sat & will now do this list so it can fit with my 24th Dec dead line, also because of lack of moeny.

This was orignaly going to be Skull taker on juggernaut. But to be honsty though the 4+ kill anything pretty cool... not worth the points. I can save 20pts for pretty much same wargear (well apart from the 4+) & I can also have some shooty goodness in the army as well. So for save a mere 20pts it worth the swap for other stuff.

 

I'll need to try get photo of his skull cape. As for the Specil Ch side of the challenge, I will take Changling in my unit of horrors.

I have 6 base of them which will cover in for the Bloodcrusher for the time being until I get time to buy the models & enough money. Just with it being near x-mas & having to travl around a fair bit right now I do not have the money toward the last models :(

Well it seem like a while since I posted here (now got permission from my fellow mods), last time I was rushing to get this Daemon army of Chaos fully painted by the 24th of Dec. With a model making commission in the way & well back then x-mas time as well.

The army made the deadline :D

 

After a while of other project as seen in my other project logs from Iron Hands, Legion of the Damned & recently my Space Wolves. I have some spare time with my Wolf project & am now unseing the time to update my Daemons with some new units after some hard fought games & lesson from these games.

So that where my army was left of that. Through out the time & many battle I learnt a lot of thing about Daemons, how they played, etc... & trying to get the right list, however by that time I was collecting my Iron Hands Drop Pod force.

But as said I got some time & after many lession with this army, I want to try bring them back out & try to for fill my last part of the bet/challenge & that to try use the Daemon army or one new army in a tournament this year. I've aim to use Daemon since they where sort of the army for the challenge & there aim for ELG Rompa Stompa in Nov.

 

So this in mind some new models are in order as follow

 

My WIP Bloodthirster (bloodcrusher got killed by Bolters to easy ^_^ ) For the Bloodthirster I am useing a GW Metal Daemon Prince with plastic Drago wing, I have to find the left arm & I still to order the wings before I can start work on the Thirster him self.

Axe is from a Beastmen (WFB) monster, can't rememeber which one since it was bought in 2005 for my IW's Daemon Prince back then to rep a Dread Axe.

A new Bloodcrusher (now got 6 + Skulltaker) I bought on Sat due to coming second in a tournament & winning some GW gift voucher. You can see the report in the Chaos area where my Iron Warriors battle it out.

Also some may rememeber a few post back I said how one of my Bloodletter went missing & out of sight (my friend/GW store manger also loss some of his Daemon models in a tournament, so though this was some evil joke of the chaos gods).

Well while I was painting a new model for my Iron Wariors for the tournament on Sat (said above there when buy new Bloodcrusher), well the IW model feel... search about & found him, but same time found the missing Bloodletter :D

As for update for the army:

- More Bloodcrusher

- I want to try & convert up some plastic Horrors just to make life easyer

- The Bloodthrister shown above will be converted to rep Skarbrad (with the wings all torn up), but in games right now will just be a plan Bloodthirster

- I'm possible going to add some updated Bloodletters to have some more Dead Ultramarines.

 

Other than that, it will be seeing what happen in playtesting.

 

Finial I am aim to paint the Bloodcrusher on Tue (tomorrow) & hope to get some games ether tomorrow with the new list or Thur that least.
