Captain Malachi
Well, my HQ pages just fell out of my codex, which naturally is a minor annoyance :) Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar. Lode
I heard about stuff like that happening on other forums. Best bet is to contact Games Workshop and I'm pretty sure you could have a replacement (hopefully with better glue holding the pages!) :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152911-has-this-happened-to-anyone-else/#findComment-1781877 Share on other sites
Mal
there is an unfortunatel trend comming out of GW.... their prep work is improving, and becomming more and more impressive... unfortunately their delivery of this work is so badly lacking that its almost laughable... for further references look up the thread about the current quality of their casts. Lord Kharloth
Lets see how many of my codexs are falling apart... My tau My space marine (old and new ones) My dark angels My chaos My tyranids GW has great books but needs better glue to hold them together Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152911-has-this-happened-to-anyone-else/#findComment-1782084 Share on other sites
Captain Malachi
It's definately the new books, my 4th ed 'nid and SM 'dexes are fine, and I've used them more than my daemon 'dex. I won't go out and get a new one, not yet anyway, as I can still use it, it's just slightly annoying that I pay £12 for a book and it lasts ten months before falling apart. ItSeWiNg
Thats Terrible and At My GW Ppls Codex's Are In Bits But Noone Seems To Mind Its Pretty Weird Now Theyve Gone Up To £15 Ide Be Going Mad Steve Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152911-has-this-happened-to-anyone-else/#findComment-1782465 Share on other sites
shrike22
It has happened to me about a week after i got the new SM codex, i looked at it and noted the bad binding but didnt care as i finally had the new SM dex. Nowdays im missing the Chaplain/ Librarian/ Master of the Forge ect. Pages right through to the Redeemer pages and that is 11 pages for you chaos guys. I actually dont mind it as rather then having about 130 pages to the left now i have a plastic pocket book for it. It is alot easyer. About the chaos daemons book that has happened to eyescrossed and his the page from some gifts and part of the army list came out. Wolf89
I've never had a problem because I always get mine "bound" right away. It's cheap (a few bucks at your local kinkos or something) and makes for quick reference where you can also fold back the pages and not bend them. Try it out next time. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152911-has-this-happened-to-anyone-else/#findComment-1785675 Share on other sites

Sons of Horus
my chaos dex is fine right now :P hope it doesn't fall appart. GW really has to fix some of their stuff. a good example would be half plastic kits!!!! when will Tzeentch ever get some love ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152911-has-this-happened-to-anyone-else/#findComment-1786148 Share on other sites

eyescrossed
Sorry to resuscitate a dead thread, but I've noticed this is happening with basically every GW book I buy now, whereas my cities of death, wargear book and old codices are fine - does anyone know why it's happening? Raptor1313
Haven't had the problem with the daemon-dex, though the Marine codex is losing sections, admittedly. It's kind of annoying, ESPECIALLY considering that book was $30USD, a slight increase from before. eyescrossed
Slight? It went to $50 (Aus) when the others were $38. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152911-has-this-happened-to-anyone-else/#findComment-1859592 Share on other sites
Raptor1313
Oy. I gotta remember that sarcasm doesn't transmit so well online... But yeah. In the US, they went from $22 to $30, which is better than a 33% markup...I mean, don't get me wrong, the marine codex is nifty and a good read, but the 'random loss of pages' is what I'd generally call a 'downer.'
