Rahveel
So.. I am experiancing a bit of marine envy. mainly twards drop pods.. have many chaos players used the dreadclaw? is it a good alternitive to the drop pod? also, what IA can I find its rules in? any experiances with, or information about this absurdly expensive beast would be very apriciated (and will be rewarded with an e-cookie) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152921-dreadclaws/ Share on other sites
the jeske
well first of all its a flyer and not a drop pod . it doesnt crash . second thing is not very cost effective [i mean when both players say that IA stuff is legal , then its better to take flyers that actually shot] . when playing against someone that doesnt have FW stuff [must be crazy to allowe you the use FW yourself] , imagine a chaos army with drop pods . GhostLegion
it is expensive...it is large...it is a flyer. on the other hand, it is a dedicated transport and it is rarely expected. ive used it on several occasions with my thousand sons to decent effect...the problem is it is pretty thin skinned and tends to be a fire magnet...especially after it takes off again when the opponent isnt expecting that little ability! sufice it to say...if you want to spend the points and money on it, go ahead..its kinda fun to have....otherwise, its not really worth it with the current rules and points Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/152921-dreadclaws/#findComment-1782258 Share on other sites

Was this analysis based upon previous incarnations of the DREADCLAW or the one in Siege of Vraks 2 (which I was led to believe made it much cooler)?
