Hey guys,

Due to a request by brother Cambrius, here's my WIP Conversion Beamer using parts salvaged from my Lascannon Predator, a Cadian Lascannon and some LEGO(oh and blue-tac):

I like a lot Metcalfedan. :D Now I know what to do with my spre bits from my Terminus. :huh: Are GW acutally going to sell a MotF or do we need to convert one?

<EDIT> One thing I will recommend though is to perhaps hide the evidence that the barrels are lego. I imagine it'll look better once painted but perhaps some GS could be used here. :jaw:

"Disis" Why the rage? You don't like electric guitar wire? (I'm just being an instigator here...)

MetDan: Loving the outcome. Simple yet effective and serves the imagery of the Conversion Beamer. Question though, are you using this as a seperate base, or is the MotF going to be somewhere else on it? Again some type of power source would be beneficial, maybe you could connect it to the MotF directly, maybe using one of the Las Cannon or Plasma Cannon backpacks? I dunno, just shooting some ideas your way.

i think its a very clever use of bits/legos and well exicuted, but to me it seems kinda like a super lascannon. if it were me i would probably try to cover the tips of the las cannons with plas card to make it look kinda like a triangle, but thats just my 2 cents. cant wait to see the finished product.

@Sons of Horus: that's cos it's not finished ;)

@TechnoBanker & phish: I see what you both mean, I'll have a little play around and see what I can do, the beauty is that I haven't glued anything yet. It's all held together with blue-tac.

@TechnoBanker: I'm still trying to decide on that one, I'm going to use a metal Techmarine and convert it a little, but if I glue him to this base, then I wont be able to use him as a normal Techmarine as well. :(

@everyone else: Thanks for the feedback. :D

EDIT: spelling

^^

I think that instead of going with some plasticard, you could use one more lego bit and do kinda a "ray gun" effect with one of those half dome pieces (inverted of course). I envision a focused laser kinda like the Death Star...

Thats what mine was supposed to be like.

And Metcalfedan, it does look like a bad ass triple lascannon =-D maybe..you should take it off the tripod, and mount it on a bike or something..

Because it is on and IG Lascannon stand, it fits rather snugly without glue (and can swivel), so I'm planning on having one base with it on the floor and convert an attack bike so that the gun can literally be mounted on either!
