Raven Guard Splinter: The Imperial Eagles

Okay, first off, hi everyone. First post here, so be gentle! (Joking of course, I very much welcome constructive criticisms)

Anyways, here's Brother-Sergeant Lucius of one of my Tactical squads for the army I just started, the Imperial Eagles Chapter. I'm actually a Tau player by nature, but the new rules and Codex made me really feel like a change. All I have left to do is the Chapter symbol on the banner, and of course, basing. Enjoy the pics! I'd really like to know what you guys think.

Well, in real cloth the border between the purple and white cloth wouldn't cross the folds. The border would run parallel to the folds. Try painting a purple, downward U-shape where the border lies on the top of one of the great folds, that should look about right. Just don't make the border cross the folds.

It's kinda difficult to explain this. Really, it's a matter of looking at folds in cloth or looking at minis with banners until you understand the principles involved.

@Ulrikk: Thanks for the advice, I defiantly get what you're saying with the U-shapes. I'll poke around for a few examples

@IAmJack: I actually have no idea. One of my best friends is a semi-professional photographer, so I ask him if he'd mind snapping a few shots of my minis one day. All I could tell you for sure was that, while I thought he was just going to have his camera, he brought his whole rig, complete with strobe and backdrops and reflectors and all manner of fancy things I held up while he took the shots. :woot:
