saphius
So I really am loving the new pods. Especially with some Ironclads and a Ven Dread. But I don't like that I have zero dread pods. So I've been looking at the Forge World models and really love them. And if I only wanted one it wouldn't be to bad. (They're running aprox 80$ right now) But, I want three. Which, with shipping as well, starts to get to be to much for me... I was wondering if any of you have done a conversion, or just can give me some help in making the GW pods playable like the ones from FW. Meaning, I'd like to be able to fit the dread inside the pod. The dread pods only have 3 doors rather than five as well. Making fitting the dread inside possible. - If you are wondering what I would like it too look and play like, check out FW and have a look. Should be a link next to the pod that will show you a few pictures. (Wolfy ones in fact.) I haven't done many conversions in my day, so any ideas or help any of you can offer would be great. Focslain
Personally I just assembled the plastic pod without the center seating piece, was a pain with out the support, but it doesn't look too bad. Jonny Wolf
I left out the center harnesses also. Eventually, I'm going to 'hinge' one of the support struts so it will rotate down also. Spacefrisian
I have the Forgeworld Dread droppod and even though its expansive its cool to have that pod come down and youre opponents sees a Dread standing in it. Iams
I know that you can make one with foam, think white paper, bits and green stuff. Maybe you could create one just like the picture. Wolf89
I know that you can make one with foam, think white paper, bits and green stuff. Maybe you could create one just like the picture. Not a citadel model so he couldn't use it in competitive play. The best thing would be to use the current drop pod, and beef it out with plasticard. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153074-dread-pods/#findComment-1795950 Share on other sites
WolfLordLars
I have resin pods made from a Forge World model (one guy did resin model molds, so made one of the FW model.. then modified it so that it wasnt a direct copy - same footprint though) which is shorter but fatter than the new pods, I use those for dreads. Doors dont open, but thats my plan for all of mine now. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153074-dread-pods/#findComment-1796567 Share on other sites
