Show Off Your Grey Knights

I'll post pictures when I finish the conversion work on my first grey knight squad. As each will have custom carved plastic crystals growing on the base and on parts of their armor (Fast growing space crystals... hehe). Hopefully they should look good, will be the armies first unit before IST's and I'll probably also get my BC together as well.

There are several pages of pics of my painted DH minis. That first picture, of the 1250pt army, is everything I currently have finished. I have a few more models in progress, but I haven't worked on them in a while, and probably won't finish anything more for a while. I paint absurdly slowly, especially on these guys, with all the details, to the point where I get frustrated and just stop. Ah well. I'll get 'em all done eventually... I hope.

only got a few pics but here they are

Ooh, I love the purple on those, Marid. It's always nice to see something different from normal, for one. And actually, I'm rather partial to purple in paint schemes, and certainly think it looks lovely on yours. Damned fine basing too. Puts me to shame. <_<
as funny as it is, the pumpkins while cool was my only question. I kinda assume they are resin bases or something...

The bases are made of Sculpey. You'd be amazed at how fast you can make nice looking bases with block of Sculpey and a toaster oven. Just don't put one of GW's black bases in the oven! :tu:

At a Norwescon (sci-fi convention held in Seattle) a good friend of mine (and officiator at my wedding) dressed up as "The Pumpkin King." All of my knights have a name of a friend or relative on their shoulders. The GKT standing in a pumpkin patch is his. :)

I wanted my scheme to be really different from the standard look.

my first one that I painted...

I changed the bases slightly on my PAGK, but here're members from the first squad I painted when they first came out, along with some GKT. So sue me, they're in "classic" colors. I also like that purple on Marid's knights.
