Hey guys, as you may have noticed, christmas is looming and I've decided to give someone a gift (can't say who though)

He's an Ultramarine Captain and here he is:

I'll be painting him in my signature metallic scheme but I'm unsure as to what company to do him. Any tips?

Note: The shield on the front is there because a big chunk was missing and it hides it perfectly.

C&C needed.

I'm thinking 4th company, but this model looks nothing like Uriel Ventris, or his predecessor, so...

EDIT:

Still WIP but:

C&C Please :D

I think the way you paint your metallic-blue armour produces a very interesting and rather original look. Thumbs up!

A suggestion would be that you go extra dull over the areas that are non-metallic, just to leave no doubt that they are made of a diffrent matrial... like cloth for instance, same goes for the flesh.

Cheers!

@ozris: I thought about that just after I sprayed it and couldn't be bothered to redo it and spray again. It'll have to do.

@Captain Mick: Cheers mate!

@Desert Eagle: You read my mind. Still got loads of stuff to do.

@Shortsonfire79: If you'd PM'd me in time I would have waited. oh well. :)

WOW

this looks Really nice

well done

as shorts said

you paint your models fast

it Would take me about a week to finnnish painting a character that would be the focal point for my army

your speed and quallity are astounding

keep it up

EQU!

  • 2 weeks later...

Well, it's been a while, and what with exams, christmas shopping and photograph-editing for christmas cards and stuff, I haven't had much time for (any) 40k...

But now i'm nearly finished!

(all I have too do is finish one purity seal that I missed, and a few bits and bobs)

Here he is: (I'm particularly proud of the blood on the chainsword :))

6 hours and you expect a reply? In the morning? HAH! You have to wait at least 2 days. (or at least..I always do..)

and it looks good. Kinda static..but its hard not to model static models...And theres a mold line running up the chainsword.

very nice.
