JetfireUK
That's a nice looking dread there. I like the script and you've got a very steady hand to write the banners on the chest and leg. The chipped armour looks good and isn't overdone. The lenses look good too. The only thing that I can't see is a highlight to the metallic areas - but it might be my eyes - maybe some Mithril Silver will help the metallic areas pop. Otherwise that's a fine looking addition to your army! Thanks Oh crap, i forgot about metallic highlights :P will add them, thanks for telling :D I just don't like ice blue highlights very much, im working on new ones on my assault squad. Maybe a 2 layer highlight or something will help. Disistablishmentarianism
Nice paint job, just a minor nitpick though. The kill markings (tallies) on the melta arm only have four to a piece/thing/tally instead of five. Other then that nice work. Nice to see another AoBR dread :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153488-my-first-dreadnaught-and-his-victim/#findComment-1789760 Share on other sites
Support By Fire
Very well done, maybe you could drill out the barrels on the melta and storm bolter to make a better look, but very well done anyways. Atomic Rooster
heheh. Dreads can only count to 4. Furiosos can count to 8 though. FateSealer
I can imagine a dread taking a pen and tallying on his arm...though it's a bit silly. Great paintjob though, I recommend either using a light black wash on the metal parts, or highlight with a bright silver. chapter master 454
great model, one thing however, the foot is too clean and that chaos marine has certainly got some good armour, able to take the weight of a dread and not sink into the ground, need to know where he got that armour from! Brother Captain Andrecus
Hmm. An excellent job on the Dread. Love the conversion, you made the relatively dumpy AoBR Dread into something awsome! great model, one thing however, the foot is too clean and that chaos marine has certainly got some good armour, able to take the weight of a dread and not sink into the ground, need to know where he got that armour from! Isn't there a peice of fluff about a Terminator getting stepped on by a Titan and surviving? Well, this is like that, I guess. (Also, you could say that the Dread is balancing on one foot while holding the other lightly over the Chaos marine. I guess he wants his buddies to be able to take a picture and see the Chaos marine under his foot, instead of ground into the mud, ;).)
