D0dge
Made them by cutting a normal circular base in half and glueing them onto the end of the rectangular ones then GSing the gaps http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr2/d0dgeuk/28112008101.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153495-bike-bases/ Share on other sites
Warp Angel
Ooooh... That seals it for me. I'm NOT buying new bike bases, or making ones out of MDF. I'm just fixing up the horse bases with what I already have. BRILLIANT! Grand Master Raziel Secundus
I was going to go that route, but with 40 to base, I know it would take me ages to finish :o But yours look really good, want more practice.... Shortsonfire79
I was going to go that route, but with 40 to base, I know it would take me ages to finish :D They aren't actually that hard to make..It took me 5 minutes to make 6, without the design. And D0dge, I find yours a bit long, but they still look really good Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153495-bike-bases/#findComment-1789738 Share on other sites
D0dge
And D0dge, I find yours a bit long, but they still look really good Now I actually have the bikes mounted, hopefully they don't seem as long http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr2/d0dgeuk/29112008103.jpg http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr2/d0dgeuk/29112008102.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153495-bike-bases/#findComment-1789817 Share on other sites
Mal
I did a similar approach, but I used the square 40 bases with the round 40's cut in half, they are long enough to cover the bike fully, and wide enough that a topheavy metal body half (plasma/melta guys mostly) won't unbalance the base. I'll see if I can dig up some pics. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153495-bike-bases/#findComment-1789852 Share on other sites

Shortsonfire79
I don't know why, but they still look long, even though with the bikes on them, they're the same length as mine.. Maybe they're thinner or something, because my round sides go all the way around, yours don't look like they do.. Like, they aren't full half circles, only partial ( <like that Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153495-bike-bases/#findComment-1789917 Share on other sites
