Espada Azul
After a month or so of off and on painting and assembling, my Ironclad Dreadnought is finally completely painted and ready to kick righteous arse in the name of the Emperor. This is going to be the default configuration I'm going to bring to the table, so I stuck as much options as humanly possible on the war machine's armored chassis. And yes, those are two flamers connected to the sides of the sarcophagi. Venerated Brother Koutetsu served with distinction as an Assault Terminator when his body was still whole, and nearly a millenia after being gravely wounded by a Wraithlord he still continues to smite the enemies of Mankind within the armored sarcophagus of an Ironclad Dreadnought. Now I've done my part, brethren show me YOUR venerated brothers! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153561-i-have-come-to-end-you/ Share on other sites
Lord Antares
That is just... wow. Without a doubt the best ironclad I've ever seen. Well done, well done. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153561-i-have-come-to-end-you/#findComment-1789807 Share on other sites
Auedawen
I'm not gonna lie...the first think i thought of when i saw that was Optimus Prime. But of course, that's not a bad thing. Wicked conversion, likely to be vastly superior to the actual Iron Clad model Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153561-i-have-come-to-end-you/#findComment-1790230 Share on other sites

Skoby
Do you have any WIP pics of it? It is a stunning conversion, I am especially interested in how you did the legs and the hammers head. It's well painted too but I gotta confess I'm not a fan of the colourscheme, the blue just clashes for me. Vredesbyrd
I love the ridiculously oversized hammer he's packing, its rather cool. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153561-i-have-come-to-end-you/#findComment-1791345 Share on other sites
Brother Garrod
if my guess is correct , that thunderhammer head is the left arm from bandai's 1/100 MG Nu Gundam kit Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153561-i-have-come-to-end-you/#findComment-1791358 Share on other sites

It's well painted too but I gotta confess I'm not a fan of the colourscheme, the blue just clashes for me. It's somewhere in the WIP forum. As for the color scheme, believe me the blue is much MUCH darker than it looks; Mordian Blue and Red Gore are pretty much what I used as bases. It only looks so light because the program I used to compile my pictures has some autocorrection and enhancement plug-ins, and I used those to clean up the pic, plus some contrast enhances. Espada Azul
if my guess is correct , that thunderhammer head is the left arm from bandai's 1/100 MG Nu Gundam kit. Wow, you're really hung up over the Gunpla use huh? I used what was available, and I have no guilt over using material previously mangled by over-zealous younger cousins... NemFX
Now I have the desire to try and outdo you. I might not get around to it, but I think a dreadnaught version of the Emperor would be something that just might top that? :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153561-i-have-come-to-end-you/#findComment-1791617 Share on other sites

Espada Azul
so many weapons i'm getting dizzy just looking at it. ;) Given the fact that I'm a bit lazy when it comes to weapon swaps, I figured that I'd squeeze as much of the options available to the Ironclad as possible on the model. Believe me, if it had been possible, I'd have found some way to include the Chainfist as well... Espada Azul
Where did the Hammer thing come from? Brother Garrod hit it on the head. I used an abandoned shield arm of a Gunpla model... Abandoned, since the rest of the model was torn apart by a kid cousin who thought it was an ordinary action figure. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153561-i-have-come-to-end-you/#findComment-1792997 Share on other sites
