Return to Chaos (and the game)

After not playing for a couple years, I've moved to an area with a pretty good 40K community. I figured I'd play in an upcoming tournament because going to tournies is the only thing in the past that has REALLY motivated me to get my forces painted up. This tournie actually doesn't require painted forces (the painting prize is separate from play prizes) but getting in 3 solid games seems nice, too.

 

Problem is, my old force was World Eaters, so I need some help figuring out how to update my list. Here's the basics of what I'm thinking of taking, its about 2000 points:

 

demon prince, MOS and Lash (really nicely painted Khorne DP that's gonna get a Slaneesh icon blu-taked on his head for tournies -_- )

chaos sorcerer, jump pack, wings, MOS, Lash (not assembled, gonna convert one of the raptors I have -another "tourney use only" model for this army :( )

Greater Deamon - actually have a great "generic demon" (unwinged) model already painted, looks like a HUGE chaos spawn

Termies - got a fair whack of these (old metal models) but none assembled. Thinking to do a unit of 3 with combi weapons and a fist, for anti vehicle DS work.

Dreadnaught - probably a weak choice in a tourney (as I'm not doing chaos-zilla) but its a gorgeously converted model and mostly painted. Magnetic limbs for dual CCW or Autocannon / CCW

Raptors with Khorne Icon - I have 8 guys I made up as flying possesed with MOK, they look great. Champ has a "cybermutation" that could be a PF or PW. All have pistols, but I could probably convert 2 of them to have different guns (thinking meltas) pretty easily, or even whip up 2 more models from scratch.

Berserkers x 10, SC, PF, rhino, x-armor (just need to paint the rhino)

Any comments on how to tweak that? Best pred config, etc? It comes to just about 2K, I think.

Anything I should really look at not taking / adding?

 

An alternate idea I had was to just go for giggles and take a TON of chaos spawn and demons, which I already have painted. :devil:

It is my understanding that Khorne and Slaanesh do not really get along very well. It wouldn't really make sense for them to be allies. Then again, I'm not an expert.

 

Also, I would reconsider the preditor, unless you already have it. They are kind of expensive for what you get, the new hotness is Vindicators.

Yeah, I understand that a Slaneesh general leading Khorne troops is against most published fluff, and was even impossible under the old rules. Its purely a "for the win" tactic. The recent Baltimore GT winner is a member of the club that is sponsoring this event...

 

The pred is already painted up, and I'm not buying a vindicator right now. But if you think the points could be better spent on more demons, spawn, or berserkers, that's probably do-able. But yeah, str 10 pie to go with those lashes would be nice.
