Jereminus
I am planning on getting some chosen and was thinking of ways to differentiate them from a standard squad. At first I thought about some DA robes but that is done a bit much so instead i thought about using a couple a of the ringwraith models. But how would I bring the models into the 40,000 universe, futurize them as it were? I was thinking about maybe modelling backpacks on but that doesn't seem the way to go as it would ruin the look of the original models in my opinion. then I saw the models and thought that for the ones holding a sword one handed to cut off the free hand and stick on bolters. but so far im out of Ideas. As for colours they would be traditionally black with the metal bit painted well, metallic. Fluffwise, I was thinking that their bodies were consumed by chaos and they are made of warpstuff. They wear the robes so as to give some proper substance and to make them more menacing compared to their actual forms (withered skeletons or somethin). So what are your guys opinions on my ambitious (if i do say so myself) plans? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153622-chosen/ Share on other sites
doctor_wu
The porblem is that lord of the rings has some weird license stuff that games workshop will not allow you into tournies with them. YOu could use possessed and give them chaos marine arms and heads. The possessed bits especially the backpacks look very different. The wings are also useful for lords or sorcerers. It sounds ok other then the license problem. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153622-chosen/#findComment-1790565 Share on other sites

TheDarkApostle
Now the only problem I possibly could see with this is the size difference. (See picture) http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/TheDarkApostle/WB2/PICT8505.jpg But if you can fix that I can't see any reason why not to use them. Jereminus
hey i hate to be nitpicky but the shot you gave is a bit misleading. how many mm taller are the CSMs from the ringwraiths? Also in the UK WD 347 there is a picture of Sauron the necromancer. I reckon with a bit of GS work on the chest piece I could sculpt a chaos symbol. What do you guys think? The LOtR stuff is shorter in general then the other two systems. I think if you can prop them up a bit then they would work though. You might want to check the new ones that were recently released. As for the necromancer it might make a good dp. You didn't say what her was for but he could work easy as a dp I think they are about the same hieght. Cool idea.
