Hail

Greetings and Hail brothers of Russ. I am new here and thought I would make my introduction. I am currently putting together 2 Chapters though I have conceived and envisioned them for many frosty moons. A Space Wolf Company drawing it's lineage from the Thunderwolves and a 13th Company corrupted by the Thousand Sons. I will post some pics as soon as I can, though I am trying to get more motivated than I have been to do more actual work than idea making. Though I consider myself better at building and converting than I am with painting, I will endeavor to do my best.

First squad being assembled are my Long Fangs. I hope you will find them acceptable. I'll try to get them done and primed with pics posted this weekend. I will advise on my progress. I howl to the moon for thee.

Hail brother Growler, welcome to the Fang and enjoy your stay! May your hunts be plentiful and your battles mighty as a proud Son of Russ. Glad to hear you've joined the Wolf Side (we have ale), but I'm slightly disappointed to hear you've tried to make a corrupted 13th Company army. Just a bit of fluff for you - the 13th Company cannot go to Chaos, as every single, last one of them will turn Wulfen before it can happen. And for your knowledge, Wulfen are the ultimate Anti-Chaos procedure, entirely incorruptible and unshakable in their loyalty to Russ and the Emperor.

Welcome to the Fang, Brother. Take an ale.

I agree with Bran about the 13th. The Curse of the Wulfen makes them resistable against chaos. Don´t forget that they hunt the traitors for 10000 years on their own territory and they´re still loyal to Russ and the Emperor.

Oh by the way, Growler, have an ale on me, as you're the newest Wolf in the Fang.

@ DB- that's 4 so far, I'm keeping track of my correctness for my Rune Priest status application. :)

I appreciate the welcome from fellow pack members. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v457/tyggrr65/Gifs/beer.gif I have some reference materials from early/earlier incarnations of the 40K universe. The "Compendium", Second Ed (I think) Codices of the Eldar and Space Wolves as well as 4th Ed Codices for a few armies. I did know that it was the Thousand Sons that ambushed the 13th Company but didn't know (or possibly forgot from reading the SW paperbacks) about not actually becoming Chaos. I'd like to find more info on the 13th somewhere.

I'll just rethink that one a bit and maybe alter it to make a "Wulfen" themed CSM company or something. I'm kinda stuck on the T-Sons as I was given a very well done Ahriman by a friend and have already begun converting a Balrog (LOTR version) into a Lord of Change (proir to the changes that came out in the 5th Ed). Cerebus "style" with two heads and two tails. Again, I'll get pics of these WIP's up soon. Actually, the CSM thing is more "play" for me as I can be a bit more creative when modeling. I'm going to finish my Long Fangs first and then get to work on an Assault Squad with jump packs (going all "beakie" helmets with these and try to paint the beaks appropriately - think "Flying Tigers").

Ale for all as I join you around the Great Fire http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v457/tyggrr65/Gifs/beer1.gif

Welcome to the Fang Blood Claw. Have an ale...and while you're up we'll have a round too.

Bran is right. We wolves cannot turn to chaos...it just unleashes the wulfen.

Oh, Beef is the Rune Lord and Dark Bjorn is the High Rune Priest...wicked smart.

Fixed it in bold fer ya. /end suckup mode :D

What you can do is the following:

In the Apocalypse book the Wolf Brothers are mentioned. One pack of them works for a Champion of the Red Corsairs. You could build you a chaos force based on the Wolf Brothers. In the last few WD there had been articles called "Four Generals". One of them had build a Red Corsair army which includes a pack of CSM based on SW models. And in the actual C:CSM is a new renegade chapter called Dark Wolves. Maybe that´s some appendage to work with if you realy want to go chaos.

Fron knowledge comes power. My brother does not appear to be swearing allegence to the traitrors. Rather he is passing some knowledge to one who is less informed on the details of the subject. Do not fear knowledge and do not lower your respect for a brother on my account. We all partake of the Great Hunts and we all renew the bonds of brotherhood around the Great Fire afterwards. Save you malice for the enemies of Russ.

Sworn is such a hard word. Let´s say i have a loose alliance with Ahriman. :D

(I have 7500 points of TSons)

"Alliance" might infer more as well. Perhap stating a "cursory affiliation" might be less offensive. Besides, having SW and 1K-Sons means you can always amuse yourself with small battles when getting together to game with others isn't logistically possible from week to week. Keeps the creative juices flowing, IMO.

I had a girlfriend of two years cheat on me with one of my best friends. The hurt from her cheating is nothing to this.

I've collected Space Wolves since the Rogue Trader Days and I haven't strayed to the Sons of Magnus...but I did buy some marines in dresses... The Deathwing sucked me in I have to admit. I'm not sure which is worse, but I feel like I've cheated on my wife or something I have to admit.

All this talk of Thousand Sons, Eldar, and other things of neither a Celestial or Lupin nature,,, it confuses me.

Am I the only pure wolves (meaning that I possess no other armies) player left?

It's generally a nice practice to at least own a codex of each army and play them once in a while even with proxies, then you get to know your opponent a lot better and know his/her weaknesses early on and can exploit them.

It's also fun to be the bad guy once in a while. :D
