-Brother Sargent Tiberius-
Is this anything new? We've been kicking arse and taking names this whole time, especially the other marine chapters. Our HQ's are superior than theirs in combat, our troops are even better than their HQ's. i thought your army was based on norse, but now you guys are sounding alittle like snooty french people...at least the other chapters can be modest... ive seen a grey knight chapter destroy a wolves army. i do admit that wolves are really good, but can't we marines be laugh at how weak the other armys are instead of our brothers, all made up of the flesh of the emperor, and just get along? all im saying is we are all the sons of the god-emperor... ultramarines dont count though. Grey Mage
Triple post dude? get a hold on yourself. *sighs* Yeah, Ive seen Grey Knights do some sick things to.... Ive also seen them get butchered. They arent much better than a Grey Hunter for half again as many points.... and they die just as quickly. But then again if you use them right.... of course that can be said about anything. Heres on for you though: Can we use keen senses to reroll the shrouding? Its not clear to me as I dont have a DH codex. You need to ask a mod to delete your posts I believe. Are you kidding? Snooty. NO. Dark Angels are snooty. Ultramarines are snooty. They're the ones that THINK they are better than all others. Logain the Ranger
I played a game against Calgar last night and my Wolf Lord butchered him. Guys guys... when will you learn that the FAQ's are where it's at? Q. Do special rules that interact with Night Fighting conditions (Searchlights, Acute Senses, etc.) give any bonus against the Shrouding?A. No. direct quote from DH FAQ Also, who's this puke telling me I'm french?!... I'll have you know that we're not french, not by a long shot, and you really need to control your thoughts while posting, especially when they come in random bursts that lead to 3-4+ posts responding to your own ideas... it's quite annoying now. Even with titanic might Calgar is no match for a unnamed Wolf Lord. Just for fun I rolled a couple of fights between Ragnar and Calgar last night. 3 wins to Ragnar if he charged. 2 wins without charge and one win to calgar. Logan vs calgar was 2-1 to Logan as well. If it hadn't been for eternal warrior it would've been 3-0 ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153789-chapter-master/page/2/#findComment-1802683 Share on other sites
Magnus Aurelius
Last Sunday at a tourny, we played a version of the yarrick's last stand scenario. The only difference was our troop choices where also allowed to kill the designated HQ. It was my Wolf Guard Battle Leader with SS, FB, WP and FG against Hes'tan (The salamander forge father special character). At the end of the battle Hes'tan was dead and my WGBL unwounded. I was the only of the 12 participants who had actually managed to kill the enemies HQ with my HQ. It was a good tourny. Battle-Brother Wags
it could happen they still have another year before wolves are supposed to come out Approximately half year, actually. Harry from Warseer has confirmed that SWs will be the next 40k release after Imperial Guard, so that would put them in the summertime. Yay for us. JEFF4i
Show me a Space Marine Chapter that is modest? Who? At least, unlike much of our brethren, we are good to the people we are defending, y'know, humans. I'd love a chapter that treats mankind as well as anything, even Guard and PDF...wait, I play them! Anyway, I love charging a CM/Honour Guard(for those silly enough to take it) with Ragnar, or some blood claws...or...anything. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/153789-chapter-master/page/2/#findComment-1802903 Share on other sites

Like us SW they care for mankind. On their homeworld Nocturne they live amoung their people. They teach them how to forge metal and care for the community. After the third War for Armageddon two companies stayed on Armageddon and helped to rebuild the infrastructure. Dude is just showing off with posts like this..... Actually it's one of the things that attracted me to sallies in the first place... (He'stan was the winner though, with 2+ 3++ and a S6 PW with heavy flamer... ahh...), they are fairly similar to wolves. They get close in with all their flamer and melta weaponry and enjoy close fire fights. Also being one of the few very humane SM chapters along with the wolves. Getting back on topic >.> Since I burned my hand pretty bad the other day, I haven't been painting, but I can still roll dice! so like others I've done a few play tests with HQ on HQ action. I decided to do Ragnar and Sicarius... basically the same in rank if you will, and CLOSE to points... 5 times Ragnar charging= 4 wins for Ragnar, 1 for Sicarius 5 times Ragnar receiving the charge= 5 wins for Ragnar, 0 for Sicarius I laughed when all 5 times Ragnar made his Ld test... goodness, with wolf pelt that's 3 attacks on the counter... stacked with his 4 base attacks and 1 for 2 ccw's.. 8 attacks is just nasty hitting on 3's with MC's. Twice I killed Sicarius first round of combat on the counter, and once first round of combat on the charge. Granted I didn't try Sicarius' "coup de grace" attack... but only one attack hitting on 4's... doing the math of 10 times trying that... it's hitting 5 times, wounding .83 times, and Ragnar failing his save .416 times... so yea...
