revmatt
Hi all I've had Iron hands on the cards for a while and have finally got round to doing a testor. Credit to kikkala I stole his ice blue Idea. Any ideas on basing appreciated, and general mini feedback. thanks EDIT: Since getting feedback on the testor, I've changed the bolter casing to red and added snow bases. rev Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154043-revs-iron-hands/ Share on other sites

The Angelus Sanctus
That would be one fine looking IH mini, fantastic work  Nice to see Kik's legacy blooming across the board  I'm sure Kik will be proud and honored by this ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154043-revs-iron-hands/#findComment-1795965 Share on other sites
Asmodeus' Swordhand
Extremely well painted, but the eyes look dull. Maybe some glow/highlights on the lenses? kikkala
Ok, that looks at least 10-times better than any of my IH ^_^. And thank you for taking some different angle pics, now I can see how the stock bionic legs look like from the back. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154043-revs-iron-hands/#findComment-1796346 Share on other sites
revmatt
Thanks All - I've added a snow base and changed the bolter colour to red. I wasn't happy with it white. pics to follow tomorrow. rev Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154043-revs-iron-hands/#findComment-1796463 Share on other sites
Pulse
Wow that is a lovely model, i love the armour damage and the right shoulder pad is really good, looking foward to the changes. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154043-revs-iron-hands/#findComment-1796487 Share on other sites

homerjwho
those pics literally just made me go oooooh... lol. Lovely, beautiful clean white, battle damage looks spot on. Only one thing is I agree, the lenses could use a bit of something to draw attention. otherwise, delightful! revmatt
Does this pic help show the lens off a bit more - or does it still need some pop? Asmodeus' Swordhand
That bike is absolutely amazing! The lenses do still appear quite subdued however. Maybe giving them a glow, or instead of using the 'gemstone painting' approach go for a progressive highlight from gore to blazing orange? Shortsonfire79
For reals. If I ever need bikes, and I can get a hold of parts like that, mine would attempt to look similar. Focslain
The test mini is excellent work, beautiful. The Iron Father on bike is just seriously badarse. Quick question, isn't it hard to fire the bolters from the back tire? Quick question, isn't it hard to fire the bolters from the back tire? For regular humans I would imagine it would be incredibly difficult, but these are space marines we're talking about :) Nice bike by the way, like the whole 'chopper' feel. I actually like the subdued feel of the lenses on the marine, but maybe that's just me. Quick question, isn't it hard to fire the bolters from the back tire? lol don't. The agony I've been through positioning those damn bolters....! here's a prototype that got vetoed. Don't you DARE say you like it better or I'll cry: please note the backpack bolters aren't the final version, the pannier bolters are. rev Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154043-revs-iron-hands/#findComment-1798212 Share on other sites

CorinoFan
Im not sure on the way that you have the storm bolter positioned now, it seems clunky, if you know what I mean. Perhaps situating the twin linked bolters on a sissy bar on the back of the bike could look less clunky. Disistablishmentarianism
I think he means that was the original design of the bolters, hence the "please don't say you like it or I'm going to cry!" I like the bolters where they are on the back wheel... thing. Inconvenient but undeniably awesome.
