Right

sorry for the delay, a combination of poor natual light and busy work days has delayed me!

I've now got nearly a full tactical squad and drop pod done and have started on the bikers:

This is one of two tactical marine Sgts with power weapon and combi melta.

What do you think? 'resistance is futile!!'

comments appreciated

I really like your conversions.

Very much so with the sarge....consider the idea nicked.... Have you done anything to it's arms in anyway? Like cutting and twisting them? Theres something about the sarge's hammer arm that looks...different. But "different" in a good way.

I like the bike techmarine. Both of the photos. Its a very good conversion, I take it that he'll be wearing the full harness and using a bolter?

Keep up the good work.

S.T

I believe the phrase: "we are not worthy!!!" comes to mind!

Fantastic job there Rev ^_^

After seeing your IH, i almost feel like i should moth ball mine now <_<. No way i'll be able to achieve anything of that standard (well in this life time anyway).

I love that conversion. You making me want to do a space marine army very badly. That is a techmarine correct?

Ineed it is the direct only techmarine I think? Picked him up at some point - he's a squad sgt in game.

I Love It

Thanks IE, I've got a load of bikers coming up all with bionic bits too.

Fantastic models!! :P I especially dig the way you used the Techmarine :)

Thanks Oz - one more to come as the other squad sgt from the thunderfire kit.

aww.. those look awesome! the sarge looks great, it reminds me how good the model looks without the rediculous servo harness. nicely done sir, nicely done.

ah I quite like the harness! but it would be a little OTT for a lowly sgt of 10 lol.

Daaaamn, and I really mean, daaamn. That's one good looking sergeant!

I like how you painted the face, really gives relentless wibes :). How about sharing the recipe for skin? ;)

its easy - rotting flesh and then add white. no big secrets.

No the hammer arm is standard, just angles itself out on the techmarine body a bit. The melta arm was an auspex arm. If you look careully you can see that his fingers are actually the old auspex buttons... shhh!

I used to think that - but you can! trust me just increase your dvd collection and your forced to paint while watching them all. Its my patented improvment technique.

another pale skinned borg for you all:

It's interesting to see that i wasn't the only one who had a 'borg' idea for the IH. The pale skin definitely looks great.

I agree with the DVD/Painting technique. it's quite handy, just don't watch a DVD that requires you to read subtitles, did that last night (although i wasn't painting, just cleaning models) and suffice to say, didn't do as much as i was hoping to.

That tactical squad looks sick ;)

I love the idea of using the techmarine for the vet seargent, and that pale skin is insane! It really adds some narrative to these guys.

I also thank you for using the combi-melta for your seargent, because I was always trying to decide whether I wanted to use a melta there.

;)

Just something I thought of: I could see a pipe running from the backpack of one of those guys right into the back of one of the exposed heads... that might look cool

Thanks man! I like the idea of a narrative behind a fluffy force too. The meltas i've used purely becasue they look cool! the pts cost makes me blanche a little but the gun looks awesome huh!?

These Iron Hands look fantastic en masse. A wonderful, wonderful army that really evokes the techno-gothic nature of 40k.

thanks Molotov, just read mechanicum myself, glad you think so!
