Lost and the Damned

First of i'am not sure if i can talk about these guys so if i cant i'am sorry for this topic.

For a tale of x Gamers i decided to make an army of these guys, however every now and then they want to do a battle. As some options of the Lost are reffering to a Chaos spacemarine armoury i do have some problems now.

I have come up with some minor solutions and i would like to know what you thought about those solutions.

1st: Arch Heretic was either Chaos Lieutanant or Sorceror > My change is Chaos Lord or Sorceror as the Lieutanant isn't an option anymore.

2nd: asp champion becomes 30 points instead of 27 as described in the codex.

3rd: Agitator can choose options from codex chaos spacemarines, still for 15 points. Once the new IG dex comes out he chooses from the IG serge instead.

4th: Nurglings are taken from codex deamons as they are only found their.

The main question is, are these minor changes acceptable to play with.

Here were my thoughts on how to use LatD with the new CSM book:

I'm going to post how I think folks can hopefully reasonably and relatively painlessly transition LatD to work with the new Codex: Chaos Space Marines. Totally unofficial, but might serve as a starting point for people to use with their own groups if desired (if you don't just stick to the old book of course! ). Feel free to add your own thoughts of course!

HQ:

Arch-Heretic Use Chaos Lord or Chaos Sorceror entries in Chaos Space Marines book.

(Want to have both options available since Khorne players wouldn't be allowed Sorcerors.)

Chaos Space Marine Aspiring Champion Same #s and costs as in Eye of Terror book. May be Marked with same costs and effects as in Eye of Terror book except as noted below. Starting equipment bolter, bolt pistol, CCW, frag and krak grenades.

Champions may select any of the options for a Chaos Space Marine Aspiring Champion per the Chaos Space Marine unit entry on p.96 of the Chaos Space Marine book (henceforth 'CSM book') at the listed costs.

Champions with the Mark of Tzeentch in addition must also select one psychic power from the Aspiring Sorceror list in the Thousand Sons unit entry on p. 98 of the CSM book at the listed cost.

Any Champion may be given a Personal Icon at the same cost as Chaos Sorcerors pay in the CSM book.

(...and same cost for Lords and any unit champ that can get them. Should be easy to find, but didn't want to list point cost)

Summoned Greater Daemon As per CSM book.

ELITES

Big Mutants As per Eye of Terror book.

Possessed As per CSM book.

Summoned Lesser Daemons As per CSM book.

TROOPS

Traitors

Mutants

Both as per Eye of Terror book. Agitators and Mutant Bosses may choose up to 25pts of options available to CSM Champions per p. 96 of the CSM book.

(changed point allowance mainly to allow PF to be retained)

Traitor squad Rhinos follow the costs on p. 96 of the CSM book instead of those listed in the Eye of Terror book.

Infiltrators rule follows USR in main rulebook.

Icon bearers count as having a Personal Icon.

Blessings of the Gods/Plague Zombies follow the costs and effects as described in the Eye of Terror book.

Gibbering Hordes Hmm. No real parallel. Use the old book or ignore entry.

Fast Attack

Chaos Hounds

Traitor Recon

Per Eye of Terror book.

Defiler Per CSM book.

Traitor Tank Per Eye of Terror book.

NOTE: CHAOS SPAWN Use the Eye of Terror ones, use the new CSM ones. Whichever. Just be consistent.

Allies:

May take the following allies from the new CSM book:

0-1 HQ (Daemon Prince, CSM Lord, CSM Sorceror)

0-1 Elite (Any Elite choice in CSM book, plus Plague Marines, Khorne Berzerkers, Thousand Sons and Noise Marines all count as Elites when taken as allies in a LatD force) (*to reflect old 'marked' restriction*)

0-2 Troops (Chaos Space Marines)

0-1 Fast Attack (Bikers, Raptors)

(Note the Elite change makes Dreadnoughts possible but removes Obliterators. Discuss with local group if want to keep Oblits.)

I like what sonsoftaurus said.. anything that has an entry in the new CSM book use it otherwise go off of the LatD book, if there is no longer a rule for something then it is lost as per the same as any Grey Knights rules and some other rules out there.

Sonsoftaurus ideas on restrictions or changes of things from the old idea to the new onces work just fine (aka icons).
