minionboy
Okay, so I was wondering what your take is on Vulkan and Combi-Weapons. Pretty simple question, does the flamer/melta portion of a combi-weapon get the twin-linked rule as per Vulkan's Chapter Tactics.
JamesI
They should be twin-linked.
Bran Scalphunter
As a combi-flamer/melta incorporates a flamer/melta into it, the flamer/melta will be twin-linked for its one shot. The normal bolter itself, no.
Souchan
I wouldn't see why not. Ofcourse, it would only count when using the single shot of the weapon, never for the bolter part(I could totally see someone try to argue that). This is something that is just so plainly understood, I don't think anyone would have an actual issue with it.
Doctor Thunder
If anyone says they do not become twin-linked, just have them read the armory entry for combi-weapons. It says: Combi weapons are bolters that have been specially modified to house another weapon. The extra weapon carries only a limited charge, allowing the bearer a single shot. A Space Marine armed with a combi weapon can choose to either fire the bolter or the secondary weapon. As you can see, a combi-flamer is two weapons, a bolter and a flamer. It does not count as a flamer, it is a flamer. The only difference is that the flamer only gets one shot.
SeattleDV8
Agreed Dr T, it is very clear. Both the combi flamer and Melta would be twin linked
