Alternate World Eater colors

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I have started my new Chaos Space Marine army project for the AdeptiCon Team Tournament in April 09 and I need some help before I start a unit of regular Chaos Space Marines.

I am doing a renegade marine theme with different units and want to do some World Eater Chaos Space Marines (non-berzerker) in an alternate paint scheme. I have seen a paint scheme that was roughly half red and half black that was not Red Corsairs or Flesh Tearers. I cannot find that imagery now and cannot find it searching in these Chaos forums or in the Painting forum here.

Any help to describe or find it would be very appreciated!

I toohave been contempating a non berserker khorne idea, but i wasn't convinced that WE were the ones to depict.

The closest thing I came up with was Knights of Blood. Also a Black Legion khorne warband could be used with a split color scheme?

In 2nd Edition Berserkers were more randomly coloured with black and red armour parts, not just red with gold trims. Common were black gauntlets , black shoulder pads, or red pads with black trims. I could not find some of the older pictures with a short googling.

Found it! It was in the last edition of the Chaos Space Marines codex. Alternate paint scheme (shown on World Eaters Berzerkers) was:

Right shouldpad and helmet red

all other armor black

all armor trimming in brass

On to painting!

Could be! That is definately the one I was looking, though. I think they will look good with a World Eaters shoulder pad. I am just doing a collection of Renegade Warbands, so it will work out well. I am also doing a unit with the all-red paint scheme that is non-berzerker.

I will try to move my posts from boring-non-picture to interesting-new-pictures-to-look-at-instead-of-doing-my-job.
