Hello folks. First post here for me.

I'm a Space Wolves player but my son wants some Death Guard for his Chaos Army. ;)

So after a look at my bits, there it is.

C&C wellcome.

again its really good work. i have to say your pretty close to overdoing the GS but are just the right side of it....if you see what i mean.

have you thought of using another colour to break up the marines? i would suggest painting the weapons or picking ut some details in a contrasting colour to give them more visual impact. that would help (in my opinion) show off your sculpting work better

great work. may your dice roll kindly, you earned it!

I like the turqoise details, that's a nice touch. Do you plan to introduce some more colours to the armour though? At the moment their bodies have quite a monotone drybrush look to them - if you painted the trim a different colour and picked out the pustule areas with a different colour, that would make a huge difference though.

Nice work so far though, I like those terminator head swaps a lot!

Thanks for your comments.

What colors do you suggest?

The base idea was to be as close as possible to the original white color of the preheresy Death Guards.

Those are horses heads from the battle chaos marauders. :o

If you're going for Death Guard authenticity, why not paint the trim dark green, e.g. Catachan? It's a bit of a time-consuming process but it would really give their armour some shape and make them more complete-looking.

Other colours would work just as well though - a rusty metal could look nice (this can be done by painting the trim with patches of brown and orange, and then picking out the edges with Boltgun Metal).

I do my army's trim with Scorched Brown - this gives a bold contrast to the bone colour and makes them stand out on the tabletop:

yes id say Gres has got it perfectly . i have white armour, green trim and red bolters. but you can pick any colour YOU like. but with Gres' model you can see just what a big difference it makes to paint the trim....it frames the armou really well.
