Videogame Monstrosities....

Hi! I have decided to make some models for my Emperor's Children army modelled after some of my favorite Videogame characters.

First up is my Daemon Prince (modelled after Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2).

And some painted WIP pics:

(The red on the helmet is much darker in person)

Second is a Dreadnought (modelled after Big Daddy from Bioshock)

just a little suggestion.

In the future, on GS aprons and such, take a tool and flare the bottom edge out a tiny bit so that the edge is visible in a few spots and shows that it is thin. I had a hard time with capes and aprons looking like a pillow tied around them when I first started trying. Otherwise, neat stuff.

Nice conversions.

I've thought about doing vidyagame characters too.

Axel, Sweet Tooth, and some others from Twisted Metal might be cool. Heheh, giant ice cream truck of death... honestly wouldn't look that out of place in 40k. I mean, we've got killer clowns already... damn Eldar...

Illidan would make a nice Daemon Prince, and Kael a Sorcerer I suppose. I actually bought the High Elf sorcerer and was thinking about doing the conversion. It wouldn't be too tough. From Warcraft by the way.

God of War's Kratos would be fun and awesome.

I could make Barrett from FFVII out of some Catachan parts.

ah a fellow warcraft fan.

well, in a similar vein:

lady vashj- slaanesh dp

kil'jaedan- greater daemon

fel reaver -- chaos dread/soulgrinder/defiler

to name a few, of course. :)

Okay...here's the truth...in my personal opinion I thought the drill I did was epic fail. Didn't look Chaosey or badass enough...so after some reworking...

...I think it has come out suitably badass.

Don't I know you from somewhere? :) You should post your other stuff.

New drill does look much better. Also, I second Dogmeat. If somehow you could pull off the Prince from the Sands of Time trilogy, that'd be kinda awesome - you could stick him and Kratos in the same squad. :) Furthermore, you should totally do something from Starcraft or Gears - just to piss people off. ;)

And yeah, 3072 x 2048 is a bit... excessive.

Gave Big D a defiler plate for a shoulder pad. Gets rid of the showing greenstuff and the Imperial Symbols (DAMNED IMPERIAL DOGS!!!!!!!!!!). Also added some a "scuba tank-esque" thing to the top. Was it necessary? No...Does it look cool? Yes.

He's almost done...just waiting for my Dark Eldar Prisoners and my Terrain Accessory packs (with the barrel) to come in the mail.

Make a Sam Fisher Assassin?

Nielson the angry Swed (yay Sweden) from Mercs 1 and 2, as maybe a kaskrin sarge?

Darth Malak from Star Wars KotOR, as a really awesome priest kinda guy or something?

and all the other cool ideas already mentioned

Those lucky guard them ;)

well aside from my previous suggestion of Dogmeat (call him a "Daemonic Familiar" afterall), seen too many FF based conversions, a BOS would simply be a knights helm style pre-heresy armour with a circular breating grill, a bit of hose, and a lense over the left eye. so that's no major conversion.

The Nameless One from Planescape: Torment. Alternately, the Transcendant One from the same game.

Starcraft Marines and some nice, shiny Zerg. :)

Any of the Demons from Jade Empire would be awesome, especially the Bull, Horse and Toad.

And the Dreadnought is most glorious.
