Morkai wolf
Hello fellow wolves A new space wolf at our pack need assistance. As you all know at 5th edition the deploy and the rolling for the 1st turn of game had changed.Under this circumstances did the *Old and wise* special rule of our Venerable dreadnought still exist ? and if yes how ? Thanks in advance!! ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154474-old-and-wise-even-now/ Share on other sites
G. A. K.
I believe the rule will allow you to re-roll the siezing of the initiative but not the depl;oyment as the former is a "die roll to see who gets the first turn" while the latter deals with: choosing deploy zone, deployment order, and who gets first turn. Some say that it can be used for both rolls but I feel that is too over-powered and unfair. If the rule had no effect at all as some others claim, then the FAQ would have stated that the rule has no effect anymore e.g. 'no matter the odds' G -edit- And to save Wolf the key strokes... you can use the search function to get the whole argument. I believe it is pretty long. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154474-old-and-wise-even-now/#findComment-1801646 Share on other sites
Wolf89
Please check the FAQ sticky at the top of the SW forum as well as using the search function as this topic has been discussed numerous times. :P You get to re-roll for the deployment since it determines who gets the first turn, as per C:SW.
