Hubernator
Very good drawings, nice detail to them. Although somehow I don't think a SM's legs are that wide... second drawing needs a bit more bulk to his upper body, it's a bit thin Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154500-artwork-captain-cyrian-firenze/#findComment-1801963 Share on other sites
Firenze
True. But I think marines should be bulkier than they are as models. They look more menacing. Thanks for the comment though. Pig Of Sparta
Nice artwork. Good use of pencil shading too. Look forward to seeing more. I agree with you that marines should look bulky in power armour, they are walking tanks near enough! Hailfyre
the marines in the second one are pre-heresy are they not? nice art too, big fan of the shading  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154500-artwork-captain-cyrian-firenze/#findComment-1805487 Share on other sites
Ferrus Manus
Pretty good, but, it looks like the marine's front leg, in the second picture, is expanding as it moves toward the knee. feuer_faust
Not a bad couple of pictures, here. My main criticism is that the poses are fairly... plain and mannequin-like. A little more dynamism and they'll be there. Good shading, though, ties it all together. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154500-artwork-captain-cyrian-firenze/#findComment-1805541 Share on other sites
Skirax
Firenze, I thank you for my picture and I love it, though I have to agree with feuer faust that they should be in better poses. Not that yours aren't good, don't get me wrong. Though to me it looks like they are in the sort of "yes, I am going to kill you..." maybe in a more dynamic, killy pose like they are jumping and the view of the picture, like for the first one, is looking at it with him in mid-jump, his blade coming towards you, like he is saying "die, you mother :D ing piece of ;) !" +edit+ sorry for the cussing. Firenze
Good point I may try that. But I like doing portrait style pictures. His knee is like that as he is wlking forwards. But thanks guys! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154500-artwork-captain-cyrian-firenze/#findComment-1806296 Share on other sites
