As some of you might know , I am building a Blood Angels company , combat oriented , with many Assault Marines and Attack Bikes. So , I have 15 Assault marines , which are 50% painted , however I have completed one of them. And although I had decided to post a finished army , I just could resist uploading some photos of my finished models. Master Toddius Posted December 12, 2008 Share Posted December 12, 2008 I think you did a great job on him. The base is very well done and characterful, adds an ancient ruined effect. The Red is nice and deep looking, I personally might have gone a little more ini highlights but what you have is a nice even red color. The Freehand BA icon is great. If I remember correctly though, the blood drop is yellow for the assault squad, but the double green drops to indicate this is the 8th company, but keeping it all black and red has a nice balance. I also like the Yellow/Gold mask for him -- I assume then that you're going to do the traditional yellow/gold helms for the assault squad? Alanter Posted December 25, 2008 Share Posted December 25, 2008 Looks quite good. My only concern would be that the Blood Angels Chapter has no tactical symbols on their shoulder pad. They do this by helmet color like you did. The right shoulderbad shows the company the marine belongs to. ^_^ i like blood red Blood Angels, even thou I painted my darker. So there would be no tac or dev squads? The tac arrow has been mentioned, and if those are from the battle for skull pass try filing them. He had undergone several conversions , the torso and pointing arm is from the Commander Chronus , the power weapon arm is from the Vanguard veterans , the Jump Pack belts are sculpted with greenstuff. I hope that this will make them less glossy.. Furthermore , I think it would be better to add hazardous lines across the chainswords , to make them stand out. What do you think ?
