Mortemer
According to SM codex (p.142), in a devastator squad 4 marines can have heavy weapons. Does this mean that you can have 10 devastators and 8 heavy weapons, by saying that each 5 belong to a different squad? Ravinella
Yes, that's called two squads and takes up two heavy slots. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154656-regarding-devastator-squads/#findComment-1803877 Share on other sites

maniclurker
I think maybe some clarification is in order... 1 devastator squad may have up to 4 heavies. If it is a 10 man squad, it can combat squad any which way into two squads of 5 each. This takes up 1 heavy support FOC slot If you want to have 8 heavies, then you'll have to take 2 squads of devastators. These can be 5 man squads. However, 5 man squads with 4 heavies is susceptible to fast destruction. This takes up 2 heavy support FOC slots.
