Yep looking excellent MT. A very unique look for sure that some might not appreciate. The things that stand out for me are the smooth blends and the freehanding motifs. The red and black checker design is very retro as are the red weapon cases which thanks to the 4th ed DA Codex seem to be making a comeback. Bases are cool too.

Anyway keep it going and I hope you get a few more responses this time round :P.

Cheers

Those are fantastic. I personally love the scheme and think that it is very fitting. I especially like the Kustom bolter and the use of archive plastic knives (are they RT? I know I bought several sprues of them with the old backpacks, bolters, and arms before the Great Bitz Purge...). Your bases are excellent, as is the consistency and highlighting. :P

Those are 2nd edition knives, on the 2nd edition Space Marine sprues with the old school bolters and backpacks. Very cool bitz, and Toddius has done a fantastic job using em here.

Isiah:

Thanks for the support, dude. :)

Brother SRM:

Thanks, man. Next up is The Knight of the Order in the WIP forum. Basically DA Vets with a different background than the norm.

Brother Shrike:

Wow, thanks alot. :P

As SRM stated the knives are from the 2nd ed sprue. Every 2nd ed marine sprue came with a knife for every marine. So I literally have close to 100 of those things. I thought I'd better use them for something. :P

Miranda_09:

Thanks, dude. I look forward to seeing them.

Mortarion:

Thanks. Ya my conversion and GS skillz for the serg aren't at Doghouse level by any stretch, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while ;)

Hailfyre:

The color scheme is coming out 50/50 with people. You either love it or hate it, lol. Thats fine, I'm used to contraversal designs. At least it made it to the front cover of a particular Black Library Book  (I wish)

The Drum Mag is 2 attack bike wheel centers - sanded and glued together. Pretty straight forward easy conversion if you're interested in doing it.

Kushan Blackrazor:

Thanks, man.

The entire paint job is Vallejo Game Colors, except the metallics. Citadel still makes the best metallics out there IMHO. I just paint my metallics like any other color -- thin layers, contrasts and highlights with adding black to the mix. Its just an issue of time to go through all of that for metallics.

Thanks all for the comments and compliments. I've noticed a few things I'm not liking now on them. The Corporal of the squad, or the marine in bleached bone robe, base looks bad. I'm going to change it. Its not doing what I hoped. And his inner blue robe is not working for me either. I'm going to paint it black with slight grey highlights. And I'm debating on the lascannon marines raised base. Its an oddity compared to the rest. I'll probably change that also.

Looks great.

Big edit: If ya dont mind me asking, how long does it take you per guy. I really pride myself on how my army looks on the table. The issue I have is I dont care for painting. Well... its not like I dont like doing it, but I would much rather be playing. Your guys look great, least better than mine. I -think- I could paint on par with your guys, but dear god it would take forever. The Terminators I did over in my thread took about 35 hours each. My normal squad takes about a week of maybe 4 hours a day. I wish I could speed my painting up =/.

I hope you put up some pics of your entire army so far. I bet it would really look fantastic.

Actually, after looking at it again, I dont think I can do it. All your shoulders are crazy, lol. Great looking models. Must have some nice brush control.
