lmyrick
Here are a few images of my first Tactical Squad finished. I got a little more confident as I went along, and added a few bits of battle damage and mud splash on their armor. I freehanded all the insignia, which came out better than I thought they would. The figs are a mix from the Macragge set, the AoBR set, and the Tactical box set. http://lelandmyrick.com/40k_figs/IMG_3985.JPG http://lelandmyrick.com/40k_figs/IMG_3987.JPG http://lelandmyrick.com/40k_figs/IMG_3993.JPG http://lelandmyrick.com/40k_figs/IMG_3991.JPG http://lelandmyrick.com/40k_figs/IMG_3988.JPG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154729-first-complete-ultramarine-tactical-squad/ Share on other sites
Brother SRM
Great paint jobs! A nice even blue, and some good mud on their feet. Crisp, clean highlights and the blacklining together look great. My only qualm is with the sergeant. His pose is really awkward looking. He's just leaning forward for some reason, and looks strange having the chainsword at the ready like that. Keep it up! The Emperor's Champion
My only suggestion is that you give the Veteran Sergeant his white helmet stripe. Other than that they look pretty awesome. Patchoro
Very clean paint job. Rock-solid colors. Comments on the sergeant are on the mark. lmyrick
I am considering the helmet stripe and will probably add it soon. As for the stance, looking at it, I still like it as is. He looks like he's just climbed up to that bit of rock he's standing on and getting ready to chainsword some poor bastard in front of him. Very clean and crisp, the colour reminds me of "proper" Ultramarines from back in the day, not these dark blue boys nowadays! BCC Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154729-first-complete-ultramarine-tactical-squad/#findComment-1808464 Share on other sites
