feuer_faust
Lo! Behold, for I have the following to show thee! Below is my custom Crusader (plastic multi-melta and hurricane bolters), and my out-of-the-box Vindicator. They are due for an updated paint job (they'll look much better afterward, trust me). Enough chit-chat! It's love for you is like a truck... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/feuerfaust/Tanks/crusader_1.jpg Cruuusaaaadeerrr! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/feuerfaust/Tanks/crusader_2.jpg Would you like to... er, nevermind. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/feuerfaust/Tanks/crusader_3.jpg Is that a Hemi? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/feuerfaust/Tanks/crusader_4.jpg Hey, it's that thing I've been promising to do a tutorial of! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/feuerfaust/Tanks/crusader_5.jpg Fell vindicated! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/feuerfaust/Tanks/vindi_1.jpg Check out its majesty! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/feuerfaust/Tanks/vindi_2.jpg Any problem can be solved using the correct application of explosives. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/feuerfaust/Tanks/vindi_3.jpg So... what do y'all think? Thraximus
I love these. I particularly like the multi-melta on the Crusader. Edit: Whats with the Black Templar cross barely visible on the Vindicator? :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154764-retributors-tanks/#findComment-1805536 Share on other sites
Liltom
Overall good painting, in particular the over brushing style with the green giving the shaded/shadow patches. But the thing that really stands out is the brilliant idea for the hurricane bolters. I love that! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154764-retributors-tanks/#findComment-1805826 Share on other sites
feuer_faust
Thraximus: Thanks! The templar cross was painted over and needs to be re-done. Using a white "templar" cross as my chapter symbol (which is cool with all the BT bits I have...) Liltom: I'm glad you noticed (it really helps them stand out from four feet away). I'm expecially proud of the hurricane bolters, unique but not too confusing. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154764-retributors-tanks/#findComment-1806204 Share on other sites
Isiah
I like the olive drab paint scheme. And the dry-brushing style makes them look like they've been quickly painted by Tech-Adepts prior to being dropped out of the transporters – makes 'em look strangely contemporary rather than 40K ;). The Hurricane Bolters are excellent and I demand a tutorial soon, if not sooner. Cheers I Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154764-retributors-tanks/#findComment-1806524 Share on other sites
Commissar Molotov
I have to agree that the converted Hurricane Bolters are very interesting indeed. I like the massive magazine on them. More pictures would be appreciated! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154764-retributors-tanks/#findComment-1807160 Share on other sites
ShinyRhino
Very nice! , too, like the hurricane bolter conversion. You did get a tiny bit of your brass color on the claw of the ammo crane, and the strikeplate of the shell. Minor stuff tho. feuer_faust
Would you believe the smudge on the strike plate was intentional? Before I realized "wait, that means the round's already spent!"
