That's one cool looking model. I too think it is a bit too green, but then again his armour may have been polished up just before striding into battle/making planetfall etc. The nozzle of the flamer looks a bit too pristine. Otherwise, a FANTASTIC representation of Vulkan He'Stan.
Thanks for the kind replys. I´m glad that you like him. I had have the same thoughts about that he´s too green. I think i´ll repaint the upper plate of the shoulderpads in black. The nozzel of the Flamer is allright when you look on the model. I think it looks too pristine cause of the flash light. And i think the scales could need a highlighting with some orange.

A very nice model, can't wait to see the updated pics. My comment would be that the highlights are a tad too thick (not paint wise, width wise) and a bit stark. If you take the base armour colour and a fine brush i'm sure you could reduce them by about half, and in the process give a second highlight level. That and (personal preference) the shading isn't dark enough but that could just be the flash washing them out. I'd use a very watered down DA green with a touch of black ink to make a nice dark wash and direct it into the crevices etc.

The model is great though, i love the use of saurus heads for the back pack.

I see more and more people building him with that cloak, makes me wish I had waited so I can copy that idea before I GS'd the whole back. ^_^ I really like those salamander heads on the backpack, again wish I waited.

Not to fond of the color though, I pictured a more "burnt" green that's darker, it just seems too bright. The spear head is perfect though, great color choice. :P
