hail wolfbrothers!

 

Now, I know. This son of Russ has not been posting recently :( However, I have something I might be able to stop myself being shanked by all your frostblades.

 

Anyways, at our local GW, we had a 500 point doubles tornament, And I used this list

 

Ven dread, Multimelta, EA- 170

 

*6 GH, Bolter and CCW- 108

 

*8 BC, Power weapon and powerfist- 132

 

*5 wolf scouts, 4 shotguns, 1 BP and CCW, *5 MB- 90

 

All in all, 500 points of wolf awesomeoness. ;) I had arranged to play alongside another Wolf, but he ended up coming in late and so I played alongside our brothers, teh Grey Knights.

 

We played 3 games, one against two marine players, one against a chaos and a daemon player (sustained attack turned off ) and the last against Marines and Eldar led by an Avatar.

Ill find it hard to write a Batrep, however, I shall tell you the exploits of my greatest warrior, the newly named Ancient Kryl the Hammerhanded

In the first game, he sniped a Marine captain dead, killed a tactical squad on his own, killed the other Captain, then assisted in the destruction fo another tactical squad, while my scouts contested his objective and the BC's attacked his right.

 

A glorious victory.

 

In the second, Kryl slew with his furious Fenrisian flames a Soul Grinder, a squad fo Noise Marines, and in a glorious and epic single combat destroyed the Herald of Khorne mounted on Juggernaut, as the Grey Knights did gaze on in Gazemazement :P

 

Another mighty win

 

In the third game, the Wolves of Fenris did throw their all into it. Like Gods among men did the great worries of Grimnar battle, and many were the deeds of honour. However, Kryl slew 3 Swooping Hawks, a Techmarine, a scout squad as well as the Brother Captain leading the Forces of the Imperial Fists. However, in a glorious fight, the mighty warrior took off two wounds from the Avatar of Khaine before the fearsome Daemon destroyed his armoured sarcophagus. :P

 

My dreadnought fought long and hard, as did all the sons of Fenris, and they took their points in Xenos and Marine blood, bt at the end, amidst a tense final turn, the great warriors had emerged as neither winners or losers.

It was a draw.......

 

So, as for our standing, I believe that because of the draw, we lost the first spot, but I think we have gained the second.

 

I hope I have not disgraced you my brothers :o

Well, we both found kicking the crap out of the supposed beardy new Marine codex fun, and made sure we had a laugh after each game :) But we made sure we were polite, and played by the rules with our opponents. How could a Space Wolf player not conduct himself with honour? :ermm: (and a GK one :no: )]
