Mistikl
Are scout's WS and BS 3 or 4? I think they are 3, but the reference sheet says 4. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154875-scouts/ Share on other sites
Reglor
It depends what army your scouts are from. If you are using C:SM scouts, than they are BS/WS 3. Scouts from other marine armies are still BS/WS 4. Always remeber, Codex overrules main rule book so if the stats in the back of the book are diffrent from the codex, use the stats in the codex. eyescrossed
Another thing, the reference for Space Marines in the rulebook is wrong - they're the 4th edition Space Marine stats. maniclurker
Actually, eyescrossed, the reference in the back of the 5e rulebook ARE for 5e SM dex. However, they changed some things during developement. I believe it has Libbies and Chappies listed as WS4 in the reference book, but they actually retained their WS of 5 in the new dex. I think it also lists the captain as having WS6 in there as well. Further proof... Steelmage99
Who looks at summaries anyway? GW consistly screw them up and I do mean "consistently" as in........every......damn......time! Anyway, the text right before the summary state that should any values differ, you refer to the unit entry in the parent codex. maniclurker
But mine says scouts are WS and BS 4 :P Alright, I'll clarify. When they wrote the 5e rulebook, they had most of the 5e SM dex written out. Those were probably the stats they were going to go with at the time. However, after they published th 5e rulebook, they changed some things up in the 5e SM dex. As such, there will be inconsistencies when comparing the 5e dex and the 5e rulebook reference. This is the reason why your are supposed to go with what the unit entry says, and not a reference sheet. Even the 5e dex reference lists some things wrong.
