I recieved my forgeworld order this week and i can now go ahead with the latest addition to my Lightning Hawks; my Damocles command rhino. Messanger of Death Posted April 22, 2009 Share Posted April 22, 2009 YAY! Space Marines with my favourite colour. If only it was easy to add purple into Black Templar colour scheme. I was curious as to what colours you have used for the chapter symbol. Is it fortress grey and then skull white or have you used a darker grey as well? I am just as slow a painter as you, so your not alone. But it is rewarding when you look at one model with almost complete highlights and looking at one with just basecoat. Also your blue looks fine, thought can always put a dilute blue wash over it to dull down the highlights if that is whats bothering you. It will be taken to its new temporary home tommorrow in watfords games workshop so ppl can see it in the window and hopefully will vote for me to win the mini painting competition they are having. manofmanynames Posted June 13, 2010 Share Posted June 13, 2010 These guys have some really good paint jobs, good job. I especially like the banner on the dread and your rhino. Also the extra armor you give your marines around the neck makes it look like errant armor, I think that makes your command squad look like real veterans.
