Mal
I actually agree with both sides of this argument.... Once fired the HK shouldn't count as a weapon.... logically its gone, fired off to its royal reward.... We can also agree that a HK IS a weapon.... The problem is what people think happens rule wise when its fired... Please note this is RULES WISE, not what we think shoul happen, or what makes sense, but the rules, black and white. In the rules for the HK its a single shot job, unfortunately GW have not stated that it is treated as 'lost' once fired, logically it does, but its not in the rules. So for RAI: Before firing = counts as a weapon After firing = does not For RAW: Before firing = counts as a weapon After firing = counts as a weapon This is a classic example of GW's tragically poor play testing, there are more example than I care to think of where there are gaps or contradictions in the rules, and soo bvery many thing that jusy defy logic... unfortunately this is just another example. maniclurker
In all honesty, it's not really that tragically poor. The chances that this would really effect a game are slim-to-none. However, it's just one of those things that's nice to know.
