Thought I'd throw these guys to the wolves, so to speak, and offer them up for comments on here.

The obligatory Group Shot

Aside from a black wash and a little tidying, I'm open to comments, critiques and suggestions.

Welcome to the B&C reaper :teehee:

models look good, although the sgts face seems to look like a couple more blended layers will make him look perfect :teehee: the roman numerals are very well done!

how much more of an Ultra army do you have?

Cheers Mithril

Thanks for the welcome. Good point about the Sergeant's face, I'll have to work on that a little more. As to your question, my current roster stands at:

HQ:

Marneus Calgar (2nd edition *)

1 Command Squad ( Captain, Techmarine, Standard Bearer, Apothecary, Veteran Sergeant. 2nd Edition)

1 AoBR Captain

1 Chaplain on Bike with Escort (2 Bikes, 1 Attack Bike. 2nd edition *)

1 Chief Librarian Tigurius (2nd Edition)

ELITE:

1 Terminator Assault Squad (featured in this post)

1 AoBR Terminator Squad

1 AoBR Dreadnought

TROOPS:

2 Scout squads ( 1 sniper & 1 2nd edition *)

1 AoBR Tactical Squad

1 Light Tactical (10 men, 2 special weapons, no Heavy. 2nd edition*)

1 Light Assault (no jump packs. 2nd edition*)

1 Devastator (10 men, 4 heavy weapons. 2nd edition*)

TRANSPORT:

1 Rhino (current pattern)

2nd edition units marked * need their colours updating to fit more with my current army's painting style.

Waiting in the Wings, still boxed : 1 more AoBR box. 1 Terminator Tactical Squad. Marneus Calgar & Honour Guard

Aekold : The colours I'm using on power bladed weapons are inspired by the various lightsabers shown in Star Wars:Episode II, the theory being that the metal blades of power weapons are supposedly surrounded by an energy field.

I thought this approach would add a little variety to the appearance of the army over all, and added the electric arc effect to make the blades a little more dynamic.

Think it worked ?
