Durus
There are some nice conversions in this army. And as a whole it looks great. But I have to admit the name strikes me as odd, as I've never played any of the Kain games. -_- Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155044-the-sarafan-order/page/3/#findComment-2375543 Share on other sites

S. Bloodhowl
Awesome army (and hamster) so far man. If you ever have a grand master in your army then you are now compelled by all who read this thread to call him Pimp Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155044-the-sarafan-order/page/3/#findComment-2375776 Share on other sites

Vlâdvar The Destroyer
I love the work you've done on your apothecary's Left arm & your techmarine's servo harness! aekold
Finally another update. I have picked up my army, because the Dutch GT is within 2 months. My army is finished, but in order to score some conversion points I decided to make a techmarine terminator. Here are the pictures: The head: http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040718.jpg The legs: http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040719.jpg The stormbolter/powerfist (it looks better now): http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040722.jpg Everything put together: http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040726.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040727.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040728.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040729.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040730.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040731.jpg I doubt if I will give him a doctor octopus-style servo arm, just like the techmarine that hangs out somewhere else in this thread. I also made a Damocles rhino for an upcoming tournament which allows IA to be used. It can also function as a normal rhino, since the top is removable. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040732.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040733.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040734.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040735.jpg What do you think? Hemal
Brilliant colours scheme - could probably do with an Asurmen Blue wash over teh highlight to unify the colour somewhat Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155044-the-sarafan-order/page/3/#findComment-2507917 Share on other sites
Wicced
nice work mate, i like the strong highlights you use. what kind of head did you use for your techmarine (the power armoured one) ? i couldn't figure it out yet :ermm: in addition i would try to mask the surface on the terminator techmarines powerfist, because it looks a little bland to me. just my two cents Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155044-the-sarafan-order/page/3/#findComment-2507919 Share on other sites
aekold
@Captain Mick: That is what you get when you copy and paste your posts of dutch boards. @Token: What do you want to know> I guess it is the arms? They are 3 mm plastic rods which have holes drilled in them. After that I put copperwire through them and glued them in place with superglue. The claws are pieces of plasticard cut out in the right shape. @Wicced: The techmarine head is from the ravenwing upgrade sprue. I think you are correct about the powerfist, it needs a little love and attention. Thanks all for the compliments. aekold
I have teched-up my techmarine. Tonight he will be receiving a layer of undercoat. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040821.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040822.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040823.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040824.jpg And I have decided to build a displayboard. I am not entirely satisfied but it will do for know. one thing I am going to change is the patches of grass. At the moment it looks like it rained green dots, so I will be changing that into larger patches of grass. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040818.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040819.jpg Grtz, Aekold. Also the name of the Order can vary between people or even between differents games of the franchise. At first they where named Seraphan a way to call them Divine retributors against Vampirisme and other evil creatures, then through out the series it became Sarafan or even Serafan, depend on how people spell it but the true name is Seraphan. It also occurs in the French version of hte game where they are first named Seraphien then Seraphéen. aekold
I have painted the thunderhammer and stormshield of Belial. Against all conventional wisdom I have decided to equip Belial with hammer and shield for the upcomming GT. The badly painted blue parts have been corrected already. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040848.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040849.jpg I am really pleased about how the thunderhammer came out. aekold
Recently I saw the new forgeworld missile launchers and I always wanted to have some devastators in my army, so that was a great excuse to buy them. So without further ado, my devastators: http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040937.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040938.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040939.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040940.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040941.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040942.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040943.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040944.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i21/aekold666/sarafan%20order/P1040945.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155044-the-sarafan-order/page/3/#findComment-2572285 Share on other sites

Natanael
I really like this army. The hard highlights look good, but if I were to give you some critique that would be to have them a bit more blended. Thinner layers of the middle-highlight to get a smoother finish. But still, I love this. The TDA techmarine is still my favourite =D - Natanael Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155044-the-sarafan-order/page/3/#findComment-2572743 Share on other sites
