Well the wash isn't dry for some reason so its headshot's for now. Here's a peek at the skin but i still need to do a couple more highlights on it.

And i had a fiddle with the levels in PS and this is roughly the tone im going to build up to...

skin and rebreather pretty much finished now. probably wont go back and pick the eyes out.

Will start touching up the stains on the armour and highlight this afternoon then round it off by doing the blacks and metallics tonight. Pretty much stress free so far, with pretty much all of the time spent so far on the skin as i'm a little bit OCD when it comes to painting skin these days.

Im stuck so far tho with regards to how i want the head to fit in with the pose of the body...

EITHER:

Aggressive

OR

defensive

(yes i am aware of the HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE mould line on his hand... my trusty camera pointed it out for me).

Hrmmm... the further i go with this the more he looks like a slightly bleached blood angel lol. Anyway here's where im at. Probably gonna end up doing one more highlight on the armour aswell as a quick highlight on the black then its base coat the metallics and wash em then do the pouched et voila! Then i have the fun of trying to decide on how to base them.

Here he is in a pretty much complete state. Once i've decided on a name for the chapter i can start to think about iconography etc. Time to finish assembling his 9 buddies.

ooh i also need to sort out how im gonna base him B)

I did orange marines a while ago and mine turned out so damn orange, you need sunglasses, or you have to pass a leadership test modified -2!

What colour did you start out with?

white undercoat,

2 thin coats of blazing to get even coverage

wash of devlan mud

thin coat of blazing orange to tidy up

black line with brown ink (not brown wash)

blazing orange + white for highlight

In the flesh he is suitable orange, just seems to be the pics i take dont like to show it. Anyway, im now free to assemble his 9 comrades so here's to my sanity.
