tiny sam
Well after reading some tutorials, I decided to try some technique  So I decided to build a Christmas gift for my brother's army. (two hit one stone :P) He's Doing Uriels Ventris' 4th compagny So Here's my experimentation : Sergeant Passanus I tried the true scale marines to gives the Big Guy Effects I tried to convert the Helmets to And Finaly my favorite parts a special Macragge Pattern Flamer (I save an otherwise scrapt flamer :P) Comments and Critics are always welcome Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155285-conversion-practice-sergeant-passanus/ Share on other sites
Shortsonfire79
I especially like the flamer. The U on the knee cap could be shaved down a bit, to be thinner (just use a file or soomething) Is the helmet going to get some more attention? Like air holes? It kinda looks like there are some dimples, but you probably want them deeper. On the torso, I think that if you keep the upper flap of GS, it'll look like he has two belts, which would probably look a bit funny. You might want to do something about that too. good works Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155285-conversion-practice-sergeant-passanus/#findComment-1813402 Share on other sites
Brother_Beork
well, as far as I can see (the paint really makes it hard) it is pretty OK. But the GS work is still a bit rough. You can smooth this down with either some sandpaper/files or a very thin layer of GS and smoothe that out. You could improve the airholes by drilling them out with a small drill (0,5 mm or so). I really like the idea of the flamer, I made a similar one once, but with a human skull for LotD. you could align the handle a bit better though, it sits a bit high. I'd like to see what you make of the rest of the mini. CrimsonMissed
The work looks very good so far, obviously it is in the very early stages but a couple of comments which may be worth adding to your planning processes, the first 3 books (waiting for softback on the fourth, because I am a tightwad) all stress a couple of points very strongly. Firstly, Pasanius is regularly referred to as being SO large that his suit has a large amount of cannibalised parts from a terminator suit too badly damaged to be repaired - so maybe some shinplates and arms from plastic termies allied to your enlarged mark 7 upper body and thighs? Secondly all the books refer to Pasanius as carrying a heavy flamer, rather than a regular one. (mind you, the work you have done on your regular one is very impressive, and follows the tyranid battles in the second book very well). I look forward to seeing more. *edited for grammatical incompetence. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155285-conversion-practice-sergeant-passanus/#findComment-1816958 Share on other sites

Terminatorinhell
actually you can use that flamer and give it tubes to his back pack, then it looks a bit heavier. sgtNACHO
actually you can use that flamer and give it tubes to his back pack, then it looks a bit heavier. Or maybe even make 2 of them with the hoses to a multi-melta dev backpack. I would say that is heavy-flamer enough!!
