LPetersson
As it says, if I add some wolves to my HQ unit, does it count as a retinue/bodyguard so I can't also add Wolf Guards or join the HQ to a unit? It was mentioned that way in another thread but I didn't want to hi-jack it :P It seems to me that in the codex, it says that the HQ uniot may be accompanied bu up to four wolves, which to me indicates that he can take WGBG as well or join a unit as an IC... Any thoughts on that? EDIT: Forget to mention that yes, I have looked in the FAQ. One FAQ states that they are retinue which according to page 48 of the rule book means they cannot leave it and therefor not join other units. The other FAQ says that yes the HQ unit can join another unit... What does the Long Fangs say? Spacefrisian
The codex (mine although) states that the Hq with wolves is stil able to have a Bodyguard as retinue. So i say yes. LPetersson
Good point, I shall use that as my reasoning. Thanks :-D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155305-fenrisian-wolves-retinue-or-not/#findComment-1813594 Share on other sites
TAVAAR
Yes you can. Another nasty thing you can do, although it takes the ability of a bodyguard away, is to give a battle leader a heavy weapon and wolves. Stick him with a Long Fang squad and now you have those extra bark barks to take the wounds for the LF's. (5 LC shooting multiple targets with 4 "man" cushion with 4+ cover can't be argued with, except points cost of course.)
