Terminatorinhell
yeah the paint is a bit chipped here and there, darned metal models, how do I stop that. Can you show me anything that makes it slightly flawed? Pratch
The only way I can prevent my metal models from chipping so much is to varnish them. They'll still chip, but not as fast. doctor_wu
These guys look good. However they sort of look a little lacking and dark. In the end i think they are a bit too black for my tastes. RWJP
Glad to see you've finally taken the advice of our board, these models are looking much much better! Well done! Do you spray-basecoat your models? If not, I find that helps a lot to combat chipping... Terminatorinhell
yeah i spray it with krylon matte black then i use a matte varnish and it helps a bit, it just drives me insane when the chip :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/155728-sergeant-ohmid-sternguard-leader/#findComment-1819966 Share on other sites
mitchell93
When you are painting red on black put on some pink first so the red is brighter, unless you like it dark red. I think it would look good either way but it all depends on your prefrance.
